Pet boarding/training in College Station

“We are so pleased with Sit Means Sit College Station! We took our 9 month old puppy for basic obedience training and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our pup was treated with care and loved on by all the staff and he loved going for his training lessons. We began to see a difference very quickly. It’s pricey, but I definitely feel like we got our money’s worth.

Not only was it effective, but I appreciated the level of communication and updates so we could see the work being done, the variety of experiences they exposed him to and be able to reinforce what he’d been working on at training, at home.

We’ll definitely be utilizing them for daycare and boarding in the future just based on our training experience.“

“I took my dog to get a few teeth pulled and they were amazing to her. They took the time to do what was needed and made sure she came out healthy. Ellie was amazing to her, she is such a sweet positive girl. Haden was also great, answered all my questions and explained everything. Dr. Gordon came and spoke with me, explaining the procedure and told me what to expect and how to use the meds. The price was also fair. I love this place.

“I cannot express enough how much my Diabetic Alert Dog, trained by River's Edge Dog Academy, has improved my life. I had a dog trained by a different company that did not work out and the difference is staggering.
Terry is incredible. Rightfully proud of his work, he'll talk your ear off but it's all worth hearing. Having the opportunity to visit, watch, and meet the potential dogs was wonderful. Understanding the methods and philosophy behind the training has helped me maintain the high level obedience he instilled. When we were having a behavior issue (my fault), Terry responded with a personalized video to help us get back on track.
I don't have a yard but do have nearby open spaces to play and, currently, it's cold and icy so it's fantastic to have the confidence to go off lead.
We get compliments all the time as we navigate my office job, shopping, and other spaces where dogs are not usually allowed. My salon loves her and she sticks with me through multiple location changes without a leash, reducing the risk of tangling or tripping.
And, of course, she does her job well! She alerts me to drops before they become critical, allowing me the time to eat good food rather than something that will cause a spike and another crash. I no longer 'ride high' out of paranoia toward a possible crash, either. Between that and the increased exercise, my health (and mental health!) has greatly improved in the 8 months since getting my dog.
Absolutely the best investment I've made for my current and future wellbeing.“
