“Bees attacked my horses and me at my home. I leased hives from an apiary that stopped by my house late Friday afternoon to pick-up 2 empty hives. The apiary didn’t mention that they would be bringing a couple of “live” hives for the pick-up. The “live” hives proved to be very aggressive. I've always kept gentle bees. After a bee chased my buckskin horse in her stall and run, I became angry. Another bee chased an older flea-bitten grey horse stalled next to my buckskin. The wide-eyed horses panicked as if trying to escape a barn fire. The snorting cantering grey quickly became sweat-soaked. The buckskin tossed her head, swished her black tail, corkscrewed her head and tried to fight the bee with her front hooves. I swatted a bee in fury. A big mistake. NEVER DO THAT! I called Dr. Kai to help the horses survive the horror. Dr. Kai’s timely response and skills proved to be game-changing! Plus, she’s kind-not catty, honest, empathetic, fearless, cool-headed, experienced and well-educated. The horses received the urgent care needed. She’s responsible for the Happily Ever After that I needed for my horses. She ended the nightmare I have the utmost respect for Kai and Dr. Stone at Katy Equine! I’ll always consider them a top-tier resource for my horses.”
