We had a leak in our yard next to our water meter. We connected to a plumbing company through HOME ADVISOR and had them come out for a look. My wife said that the technician was courteous, but that he spent only a brief few minutes outside and then offered the estimate, saying that they would have to bring out machinery to dig it all up and look at it. Needless to say that the figure given was in the hundreds of dollars. A few days later I found NAGY Plumbing on an internet search and noticed that their location was not far away. I contacted them, expecting a return contact within 2 or 3 days. I however was contacted the next morning, and they advised that they would have someone out later that day. Early that afternoon I was contacted by them advising that they had a technician on the way out. My wife called me and said that the technician had spent a long time out digging around the meter, and she wondered if I had already approved of them doing the job, and I told her that I had not. A few minutes later she said that the technician had found the source of the problem and provided an estimate for the job. The estimate was about 3-½ times LESS than the other plumbing company, and needless to say we agreed to her doing the work. Yes, I said HER. Kate was her name to be specific. She was very sweet but very professional as well, and I must say that I was amazed that she went to work digging out the area around the meter by hand. She then got down flat on the ground and went to work on the pipes. It didn't take her very long to make the repair but another problem was presented due to a high water pressure issue that prevented the pipe joints from staying connected. She worked on it for at least a couple of hours and she finally said that she would have to return the next day and attempt the repair again. Upon returning the next day she returned with the assistance of another technician who introduced himself as JC. They both worked on the problem for most of the afternoon, but the repairs kept springing a leak. They finally found a solution to the problem and successfully accomplished the repair. Now to the bill, which I expected to be somewhat different since they had spent a total of almost 8 hours on this job and involving two technicians instead of an intended lone technician. SHE SAID THE PRICE WAS WHAT WAS ORIGNIALLY QUOTED!!! I couldn't believe that was all that they were asking, seeing how difficult and time consuming that this repair turned out to be. We insisted that the price was too low for the extra work that they had to put into it. Upon our insistence, they added one more hour worth of labor, and the price was still what I would consider to be conservative. Both Kate and JC were very professional in both showing and explaining the process. JC also spent a few minutes extra with us discussing some other plumbing concerns and questions that we had for him. These folks definitely demonstrated an attitude of customer service as priority one. Thank you NAGY Plumbing for your courteous, reasonable, prompt and dependable service!
