On two different occasions our dog has gotten hotspots that became infected before we discovered them - on the weekend, of course. So, the nice folks at the VCA urgent care near 183 and Burnet are getting to know us and our dog pretty well. Kidding aside, it's a very nice, clean hospital and the staff and doctors have been extremely friendly and helpful both times. Our dog felt better and recovered quickly after that first episode several months ago, and I expect he'll do the same this time. Both times there have been follow-up texts to check on his progress, which is a nice touch. When it's after hours or you can't get in to see your regular vet, this is a welcome option that we've been grateful for. Also, FWIW, we've had to take our dog to another emergency vet before, and the experience was not nearly as good as it's been with these folks. So, whenever we're in a bind with our furry family member, we'll be heading back here.
The staff at the VCA Animal Hospital urgent care are angels. They help me as I had to put my fur baby Cinnamon. They are a loving and caring place. I can't so how much I appreciated the whole staff. The vet was totally honest with me and was understanding. I went today and picked her up today and they were still so caring. I wish there was a higher rating. Thank to all at the clinic.
Talk about a life saver, they are open later than most vets and essentially an emergency room w/o the emergency room prices. I had to do a walk in with my old kitty as she had an accident and needed help. I've been to other VCA hospitals before and was pleasantly surprised to see this Urgent Care facility. They weren't busy when I arrived as no one was in the waiting room. I had to sign up online for an appointment, so highly recommend doing that before you head their way. The service will notify you of the wait time and when your appointment is up next. You can probably fill out the intake form before you get there too...thankfully they sent me a link to sign into the waiting room and fill out the forms. The waiting area was so nice, I'm shocked I didn't take photos?!? Any hoo, the tech and Vet were amazing. I'm sure the adrenaline my kitty was experiencing make her a bit less timid?! She let them handle her without issues. Payment was just as easy with a text and link and they emailed everything after the appointment. So sweet of them to also text the following morning to see how the kitty was doing. Overall, this will be my first option for emergency/urgent care vet services during their operating hours. They were so pleasant to chat with and took great care of my kitty.
