They patiently and with kindness spent time with my son explaining what they needed to do, and why. They did not try to upsell me. The price is right, and the service spectacular. This is a true Austin treasure. We will be back.“

“Orpheus is a hidden gem in Austin. They have great teachers that help your kids to learn the techniques. They also have well organized recitals that helped my kid to develop confidence onstage. However, what set them apart from ordinary music education is their focus on creativity and musicianship led by the founder Klondike. I was surprised (in a good way) by the music pieces created by the kids that were barely 10 years old, and the way they talked about how they wrote the music, how they collaborated and what they were trying to express. I am not sure if my kid will be professional musician (nor I had any expectation), but the holistic understanding of music would definitely be with her for the rest of her life. For that I am not taking for granted.“

They offer classes in so many different instruments and have highly trained teachers.

They have different lengths of classes so you can dedicate 30-min, 45-min & 60-min to learn. They also have some ensemble classes for rock & jazz for people wanting to learn to play in a group.“

And he is able to teach me how to pronounce things very accurately so that Americans can understand me perfectly (I've been struggling with that for years).“

“Mindy makes learning piano so much more fun than attempting to learn at home by myself. The tiered approach to learning at your skill level while also hearing others play at their respective skill level makes for interesting listening. She breaks down complex parts (for a beginner like me) into understandable bits. She offers individual lessons during summer and full 8 week courses the other times of the year, allowing for actual structure to my learning that still works with my schedule. I can’t recommend her lessons enough.“

“We’ve been attending Music Together since our daughter was 6 months old (in CA), and then kept going with Heartsong when we moved to Austin. Love the focus on musical exploration for young children - which means alot of play and running around and general exuberance - that is not frowned upon; and appreciate the play space before and after at the studio that allows community development. Things we love since she’s been in these classes - she has rhythm, is interested in music generally and enjoys tinkering with instruments (and neither parent is musically inclined). I’d highly recommend these classes!“
