As a Retired RN, a very close friend, like a sister, is diagnosed with cancer. An RN who works there did not; use sterile technique, did not where gloves, no tegaderm to cover her IV port, just left ir covered with gauze and tape which came undone, site was exposed therefore prone to infection, didn't clamp the tube after flushing, was hateful to this patient. NO ONE ESPECIALLY AN END STAGE CANCER PATIENT should EVER be treated this way. Its a shame nurses like this are practicing.
