Our home is 99 years old and when we initially met with Bob to discuss the project he laid out all of the potential challenges he anticipated based on our house’s age. Bob knew what he was up against and showed he was ready for it from day one. In the end our additional costs were minimal and we were ready because Bob had prepared us. “I found RIKB to be a pleasure to work with. We just re-did our kitchen.The designer was helpful in terms of assisting with small details that I really didn't have time for. She provided me a few designs / price points to choose from and I found them to be transparent with their pricing.Remodel stayed on schedule, which was huge for us. (I was 7.5-8mo pregnant at the start of the work, so I was concerned about timing) The quality of the work seems to be high, no issues so far. Their crew was pleasant to have in our home. (Respectful of napping toddler, pets, friendly, clean! etc.) Scotty, our project manager was great. Other reviews comment on them being overpriced, but unfortunately any quality home re-model will be expensive these days. RIKB handled everything from start to finish and allowed me to be as stress free as possible. Would use them again.“

“Modern Yankee Builders did a multi-room remodeling for us. They were involved from the conceptual phase (the beginning), through planning, all the way to the end. It was a great experience from beginning to end, everything was fantastic from the design ideas to the professionalism and punctuality, and of course the work itself was beautiful. (And Joe is a great guy, important if he's going to be around your house for a while). A few years later now (2017-first project was 2013), we've had Joe back to do a massive remodeling project for us, we demoed an entire floor of my house, studs, floor, and exterior wall included. We rebuilt a family room and master bed/bath in the space. As always with Modern Yankee, every detail is beautiful and all timing issues and unexpected problems were taken care of. There are so many remodeling horror stories out there that they're almost the norm; with Modern Yankee everything stays on schedule and ends up looking even better than imagined. And as before, Joe is a pleasure to work with, always important for someone that's going to be around for an extended period of time. Exquisite work, no hassles, on schedule, pleasure to work with...what more can I say?“

“Jose and his team did a wonderful job on my living room ceiling. A section of the ceiling was damaged by water. They had to cut out the damaged sheet rock, replaced it and then tape it, texture the area and the paint the entire ceiling. They did an excellent job. The replaced area cant be seen and you would never know there was a repair and replacement. They protected the room and furniture with coverings and they cleaned up the area at the end of the day and left it very neat. I was very satisficed with the job and I would not hesitate to hire them again.“

One person was doing one thing , the other person was doing another thing and got a lot of work done very quickly. They were professional and respectful. They explained everything they were doing and when they ran into a problem they quickly updated me and fixed it. They cleaned up after themselves and I couldn’t even tell they were ever here. Very knowledgeable people.
