I detail the entire experience in more detail below.JB Cote Construction’s crew was great and very professional. We appreciated the care and respect shown to our home as well as their expertise. After our contract was drawn up, we realized there were a few items that were not on the list and they accommodated us where they could which was awesome. We also supplied the crew with an incorrect mirror, and it wasn’t until after installation we realized it was the wrong size. Feeling embarrassed I let them know and they happily took it down and boxed it back up for us with no issue. Another mirror we supplied was broken before they arrived, whoops. The crew showed no signs of frustration with my ineptitude. I cannot stress how pleasant and professional they were.When we realized one door opened the opposite way we would have liked, JB Cote sent someone over to adjust it very promptly. We were very happy with how they wanted everything to be right. There was a bit of confusion regarding the contract, and it's something I needed to pay more attention to, but it did not impact our view that this is a 5 star company.JB Cote has been the best construction company we’ve worked with since moving to Rhode Island. We were quite happy with the quality, professionalism, and responsiveness with communications. We plan to work with them in the future with further housing projects.“

The 100+ year old home has a tiny 5ft X 7ft bathroom which they brought into the 21st Century with beautiful and innovative ideas and a quote for complete renovation that was very reasonable compared with other quotes from local contractors. “Bruce Stivaletta of Stivaletta Corp. solved two tricky construction problems I had. First a home basement was flooding during a major storm and nobody else was interested in helping. Bruce immediately came over and installed a sump pump under extremely difficult conditions. The second problem. Bruce replaced a drainage pipe under a driveway after the first company punctured the two-house gas line. After the line was repaired Bruce was able to carefully replace the drainage pipe without incident. I wholeheartedly recommend he bid your project large or small. His prices are fair, and his work is superb. I plan to ask him to bid the next house.“

“Jose and his team did a wonderful job on my living room ceiling. A section of the ceiling was damaged by water. They had to cut out the damaged sheet rock, replaced it and then tape it, texture the area and the paint the entire ceiling. They did an excellent job. The replaced area cant be seen and you would never know there was a repair and replacement. They protected the room and furniture with coverings and they cleaned up the area at the end of the day and left it very neat. I was very satisficed with the job and I would not hesitate to hire them again.“

After our order was placed and delivered, wood floor was uncovered during the renovation of our space and we decided to refinish it rather than proceed with tile. “Modern Yankee Builders did a multi-room remodeling for us. They were involved from the conceptual phase (the beginning), through planning, all the way to the end. It was a great experience from beginning to end, everything was fantastic from the design ideas to the professionalism and punctuality, and of course the work itself was beautiful. (And Joe is a great guy, important if he's going to be around your house for a while). A few years later now (2017-first project was 2013), we've had Joe back to do a massive remodeling project for us, we demoed an entire floor of my house, studs, floor, and exterior wall included. We rebuilt a family room and master bed/bath in the space. As always with Modern Yankee, every detail is beautiful and all timing issues and unexpected problems were taken care of. There are so many remodeling horror stories out there that they're almost the norm; with Modern Yankee everything stays on schedule and ends up looking even better than imagined. And as before, Joe is a pleasure to work with, always important for someone that's going to be around for an extended period of time.
