We purchased a house originally built in 1925 and contracted GCR to fully renovate and add a large addition. We fully gutted the existing home down to the studs and redid every aspect of the house (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, windows, siding) included three new entry ways and deck/porches.
We had an exceptional experience working with GCR. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless, efficient, and stress-free. And most importantly, within our budget and predetermined costs.
Nick, our general contractor, was fantastic—he explained every detail thoroughly, keeping us informed at every step. Nick has a background in home envelope waterproofing and his attention to detail and water mitigation was excellent. I had worked for home builder in the past and Nick’s attention to detail “do it the righty way” mentality was amazing and comforting to see on such a large project. Thanks to his careful management, there were no surprises, and the project was completed on time. We had a baby on the way and were living with family so staying in our timeline was crucial.
GCR’s attention to detail was outstanding. Every contractor who worked in our home was professional, respectful, and highly skilled. We also loved their constant communication, timely billing, and status updates, which kept all our selections organized and provided a clear weekly schedule of what was happening during construction.
GCR handled everything from permitting to the final inspection and walkthrough but also kept us in the loop at every step along the way. Special thanks to Nick for his design expertise. As you can imagine, there are unforeseen items that arise with a major renovation. Nick kept us informed and allowed us to make decisions on key areas rather than simply making the decisions for us. He truly went above and beyond. We couldn’t be happier with the final result! We highly recommend GCR and will definitely use them again for future projects.

“We have used Rhode Island Kitchen and Bath for three different homes over the past 6 years. Each time we have been extremely happy with their professionalism, attention to detail, follow-through and the ability to complete work exactly on time. The latest project was a multi-room renovation of our kitchen, powder room and the primary bathroom.

Our design consultant, Kingsley Catalucci, has always been a great listener who is collaborative in the design process and takes pride in making the design experience fulfilling for the customer. Scott Erno, who was our project manager all three times, is a consummate professional who cares about his work and is meticulous in completing his work to the highest standards. Scott was on the job every day, making sure that work was proceeding according to schedule and that it was done at the highest level of workmanship. Our design build coordinator, Craig Berube, is very accommodating and helpful. In addition, he caught a number of plumbing and electrical problems that needed to be addressed as well as a gas leak we were not aware of.

Overall, we were extremely satisfied customers and honestly couldn’t imagine having a better experience with the renovation process. From the first design meeting with Kingsley to the on-time completion of the project, Rhode Island Kitchen and Bath exceeded all of our expectations. RIKB is a top notch company from top to bottom and it runs like a well-oiled machine.
