“Update 11/3. I decided to try the new doctor in the practice, Dr Nader. Our appointment was at 9:15. She arrived in the office at 9:30. She looked at us in the waiting room and said nothing. When she came out to bring us back a few minutes later, she didn’t say a word about the fact that she was late. I know things happen but would have appreciated at least an acknowledgement given that we were missing school and work. I will stick with Dr Rehak in the future.Previous reviewI have been a patient of Dr. Rehak's for over 15 years. I have recommended Colonial Family Eyecare to many friends. My entire family goes here as well. Dr. Rehak takes his time to explain our eye health. He worked with me to find a lasik provider that would be a good fit for me. I never feel rushed in an appointment or while picking out frames. The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. Debby is absolutely amazing. She is always patient and friendly. She knows the insurance plans very well and is always helpful navigating the various plans we have been on.“
“Dr. Ted is the best. He has been my eye doctor since I was a child. I experienced a corneal abrasion and Dr. Ted treated me immediately and even gave me his personal phone number to contact him if my eye was not healing. He truly cares about his patients. I left his practice (due to moving to a different area), went to a different eye doctor, and then switched back to Dr. Ted. He is worth the drive. His expertise is unmatched. 10/10 recommend. “I visited for the first time today, in need of a prescription for new progressive eyeglasses. The staff made the appointment and a schedule change effortless. I saw Dr. Haak. I am super-impressed. I came in sort of dazed with lack of knowledge about insurance, how to deal with problems I'd encountered with my previous glasses, and of course stress that comes with vision problems. When I left I felt well looked after, educated, and cared about. Mary did an initial screening and Dr. Haak saw me promptly. I received a thorough eye exam accompanied by an understanding and kind style. Then, Kathy as well as the doctor guided me through the selection process. Brian marked and fit the progressive lenses. Everything is done, they'll call when the glasses are ready, and I feel confident. This is my third time getting a prescription and being fitted for eyeglasses and this experience was the best so far. Note: Be sure you know where the building is when you go for your first appointment. It's in a business park with many offices. When I scheduled the appointment I was given a tip on how to drive left and back etc. Update: Got em! The correction they offer is wonderful: so nicely fine-tuned for all purposes: reading, checking a dashboard or computer, and driving. Very glad I came here.“

“After a horrible experience at America's Beat I was looking for an alternative for my grand daughter to get her contacts. Friends had mentioned Village Optical and I called and made an appointment. The ladies at the desk were so nice and got me in same day. When we got there we actually felt welcome. We were introduced to Anna to try putting in her contacts. Anna did more in 15 minutes than America's Best did in an hour. My granddaughter was so excited that she could do it. Dr Greg took her for an exam and talked to her about wearing her contacts. Anna took her back one more time to make sure everything was good. The day started with my granddaughter feeling defeated and down on herself. Because of Village Optical's outstanding customer service and outright caring, the day ended differently. The ride home was literally smiles and singing. “I received such great customer service this past Friday when i called the Royersford office to see if they would be able to fix my husband's eyeglasses (and his spare pair as well!) She said I could stop in anytime before they close at 1:00 and they'd take a look at them. When I got there, Hannah worked on the glasses so patiently, and had them repaired in no time at all. She was extremely nice - even gave me a couple extra screws in case it happens again. I truly appreciate that she was able to repair them before the weekend! My husband and I have been going to Colonial Family Eyecare for well over 20 years and have always been pleased!“
