“This was our second visit. The girls at the front desk have been very nice, personable and professional.
Alyssa, one of the groomers, is the BEST!!! My dog absolutely hates getting his nails done. All the Vet techs that have ever tried to cut his nails have not been very successful. One tech had to stop because she felt so bad because of the distress he was experiencing.
She clearly Was cutting too short as he was bleeding everywhere.
They have always used a muzzle ( not that he has ever bitten anyone, and I don’t think that he would, but we were nervous that he could out of instinct since he doesn’t like it). When I told Alyssa this, she said she is going to try to do it without one. Because she said , sometimes that makes them more nervous and uncomfortable. I was shocked! Elated and a little nervous because of the unknown, but shocked because none of the techs at two different vets I brought him to, with all their experience, thought of doing that.
I was so nervous that she was going to come out and tell me that she couldn’t do it. But when she was done, she said he did great! All she needed was someone to just hold him while she used the Dremel.
He was very happy and his nails look the best they have since we adopted him.
Today I brought him in for his second Dremel experience. And I just set up his third, five weeks from today. I am so happy that we finally found someone that understands my boy and can accommodate him, wow, at the same time making him so much more comfortable!”
