“Let me first start by saying that I cannot say enough great things about JMS. If you are thinking about contacting/working with them, do not hesitate. We recently bought a 100 year old home that had rotted and peeling original clapboard and needed a lot of TLC. We wanted to preserve the classic look of the home and repair any possible damage. With a project this involved we had close to 12+ contractors/local siding and roofing companies give us estimates and some that did not even want to take this type of project on. JMS immediately stuck out - from the beginning Matt was super responsive, friendly and knowledgeable and setup a face to face meeting to go over their company, their values, how they handle projects and what sets them apart from other contracting companies (all before even getting us an on-site estimate). Matt was completely up front and said JMS wont be the cheapest or the most expensive quote but that they will do the job right and give the best quality work, recommend the best materials/repairs and work with us with our needs. Immediately we were sold and from there, the rest of the process was seamless. They used drones and pictures/videos to get more accurate measurements and digital renders of what the project would look like when finished. Both owners Matt and Jim discussed possible issues that could come up with a project this large (getting tough conversations out up front). Once the crew came to actually do the work, they were friendly and extremely efficient and Jim and Matt were there overseeing the project nearly everyday. We were shocked at how fast and efficient the team worked and how clean they left our property daily and at the end of the project. The end result is night and day and we couldn't be happier. Matt, Jim, and their crew went above and beyond and we cannot recommend them enough. We will be using them in the future for our windows, and other major reno projects.“

“The JR Freed Construction crew did a phenomenal job on our deck and patio paver pathway. We were not really sure what we wanted for our outdoor living space when Jason met with us for the first time. All we knew was that the old deck needed to go. He helped us dream and plan a beautiful new Trex deck and worked to keep it within our budget. Jon and Ryan were fantastic and almost felt like they became part of the family. They overcame multiple challenges that our property presented with great skill and professionalism. The initial plan that we landed on included a beautiful paver walkway and an exquisite lighted Trex deck. (Definitely go for the lights, they are worth it!) Near the end of the deck project, we asked them about what we believed to be minor issues with a second story porch. Jason and the crew were able to return to our property shortly after completion of stage one to diagnose and repair a problem that could have been disastrous. “The work on our front porch and steps was done very well and carefully. Matt listened to our needs and made good suggestions for the kind of materials needed and on how to improve our porch and steps. After the work was completed a defect was noticed on one of the stones. Matt stopped by later and removed the defective stone and replaced it with a new stone and followed through with the necessary steps to make the porch look great with no extra cost. Matt was very professional and flexible. Our overall experience was great and will recommend him to anyone.“

Going in we knew there would be some unforeseen issues specific to the sheer age of our home and that the kitchen hadn’t been touched since roughly around 1920. Each issue we came across Jason explained our choices clearly. He tackled each issue and made sure he was onsite every day to oversee the reno or at the least get his guys set up with direction for the day & everything was still completed within the initial timeframe he had set.
He helped me make quite a few choices on design and practicality during the process, it was very appreciated as a full kitchen reno can be quite stressful. He also custom made our gorgeous pantries to match the kitchen cabinets we had chosen. We started out with Rocket Drain who, after 3 days of trying to clear the main line and charged us $2900, he DID NOT clear the clog. Then, a friend of our recommended Marlin.
