8AM - 12PM
115 26th St, Pittsburgh“MADabolic is unlike any other gym I've ever been to. Everyday is a circuit of challenging activities. I feel strong and energized after each workout. I can't do everything yet, but I can modify the exercises so it works for me. Although there may be many people in a class, everyone is focused on their own task, so I don't feel embarrassed at all about what I can or can't do. All of the trainers I have met so far are friendly and encouraging. I highly recommend giving them a try regardless of your fitness level!“
8 - 10AM
212 44th St, Pittsburgh“Ray is one of the best trainers I have ever worked with. He personalizes each workout and helped me work through several injuries and concerns I had prior to starting. He is engaged in my success, is a great motivator and communicates very effectively. Could not have asked for a better person to work with!“
8AM - 12PM
5500 Butler St, Pittsburgh“Love Pittsburgh Fitness Project! My partner and I go here, it’s one of the most welcoming gyms I’ve ever been to. I never feel judged and am always given clear direction and education on the movements we are doing. Workouts are challenging but I can still move the next day. PFP primal and kettlebell on Tuesdays and Thursday are the best. Shout out to Jake who stayed late when we were delayed bc of traffic and led us through a great workout. Incredibly accommodating and caring gym community!“
5AM - 8PM
10487 Frankstown Rd, Penn Hills“Best decision I've made in a very long time to start personal training. Custom made training and nutrition program are both getting me to a stronger, fitter, happier version of myself. Annie is amazing, the gym is clean and super well-equipped, and I'm learning so much and feeling better than ever.“

605 Melwood Ave, Pittsburgh“I generally don’t write reviews unless a place is particularly bad or particularly good. For Josh's gym, it is most definitely the latter. I’m proud to wholeheartedly recommend his gym and more importantly, him as a trainer. Josh is more knowledgeable than any other trainer I’ve been with and freely shares his wealth of knowledge from health and wellness, nutrition, sustainable growth and of course strength and conditioning. What sets Josh apart from other trainers is his desire for a personal connection. It is easy to see Josh as a friend and not just the other side of the transactionary service. And all this for a great price of $600 per 10 sessions.Josh’s style of training is focused around sustainability as well as education. It is not uncommon to use a significant amount of the hour spent with him simply resting from a hard set, or even the whole hour used for stretching if you tell him places are feeling particularly sore or have pain. During times of rest, Josh often educates you on various concepts that can help you with strength training, nutrition or general wellness for life. For those who want to spend the hour doing focused high intensity workouts and do not wish to interact with their trainer to such a level, Josh is likely not the best trainer for you. But for those who want to learn about all-rounded wellness and are committed to learn and apply techniques to live a more comfortable life, not just in terms of weight training, there is no better trainer than Josh.“

1408 S Negley Ave, Pittsburgh“I have been working with JoAnn at Hydration Health and Fitness for nearly two years. From day one JoAnn listened to my concerns and frustrations about my past with various diets and exercise and empathized deeply. She helped me to instill new habits that are sustainable and realistic with my day to day life. I now feel that I know how to exercise safely, set my own (realistic!!) goals, and create sustainable nutrition plans for myself. Additionally, she helped me to gain a much healthier and less negative outlook on nutrition and exercise which makes this process even more rewarding.“
7AM - 3PM
5746 Baum Blvd, Pittsburgh“Alex is a wonderful trainer! He always made sure I knew what I was doing and why, and he also told me ways to do our workouts at home on days when we didn’t have sessions. He made working out enjoyable and was flexible with his schedule if I need to move our sessions around. The studio was always clean and the staff is also very friendly. It is a great space to exercise!“
“Dave is an incredibly knowledgeable trainer who has a wide array of strength training equipment but also incorporates cardio and free weights into a personalized training program. Very easygoing personality as well.“
“Dr Brad is the best. He is so knowledgeable but more importantly, his treatments are effective.“
“One critical aspect of many that I value about Mumon karate is the honesty and purity. It is a not for profit organization with instructors that work hard at deepening their understanding and accuracy of the martial art. These instructors then teach their students with one simple goal: to help each student be the best they can be at a pace appropriate for that individual. I believe most students seeking martial arts instruction would be attracted to this pure delivery of karate instruction, not tainted by a need for profit.Mark W“
7AM - 2PM
4042 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh“This is truly an iconic and special place.I was traveling from South Korea and stopped by because Chris Bumstead was working out here. But even if it's not because of Chris Bumstead, the history of this place is attractive enough in itself.Although it is a bit unkempt in some places, the equipments are all in excellent condition and are full of truly "classic" equipments that are better than the newer ones.If I ever come back to Pittsburgh I will definitely work out here and I will definitely keep thinking about this place in the future.“
10AM - 6PM
1235 Camp Hollow Rd, West Mifflin“Blaze is hands down one of the best in sports performance training. From beginner to the next level. Goals and focus. All around premium training.“

Some positives for me so far are:*Cleanliness - management (and members) do a great job at making sure everything is clean and organized.*Parking - parking is free/validated for members so finding a space is never an issue*Management - great communication with the location manager Danielle via email with quick answers about membership options and setting up a meeting time to tour the gym and ask questions. I was also able to set up several PT sessions with Danielle which were very informative and provided a great foundation for me to build on.“

3813 William Penn Hwy, Monroeville“I'm almost exclusively an owl, and the overnight staff here are some of the brightest, kindest service workers I've ever encountered. Always a kind word and a smile, I've never made it through the door without a greeting or a farewell. Extremely accommodating and always an open ear for any request or concern, very hard workers who pay attention and go above and beyond to maintain equipment and locker rooms to an expert level of care ane cleanliness. I am forever grateful to the team for their approach and ethic.“
