“I first met Lou when he was working at JC Penney’s and gave my then 7 year old gymnast daughter the popular “Dorothy Hamil” haircut prior to an important meet (where she went on the win the DE state championships!). That daughter is now 45 and much has changed in all our lives. But what remains the same is my hairdresser! I still go to Lou and, in fact, was there today. He gave me one of the best colors and styles ever, in the 38 years I have known him. He has the amazing ability to figure out what I want even when I don’t quite know what it is. I purchased a color refreshing product from them for home use that turned out to be the wrong color, through no fault of theirs. I came in to get the color corrected and they offered to exchange the product for something else. I didn't even think about an exchange because the product worked, I just chose the wrong color. I was pleasantly surprised and thought that was a kind way to treat a customer. My daughter and her mother now go to Stevie, too, become she makes my hair look so good!“

“Fantastic hair cut, and fantastic service. I've already scheduled my next appointment, and expect to be going back as a regular thing. I do quite a bit of public speaking and presenting to clients, so I am particular about how my hair looks. I decided to give Salon Jalore in Landenberg, PA a try because they are pretty close to my home. I called to confirm their hours, and because they were short-handed, the person on the phone was intentional about making sure I made an appointment, and assured me I could do walk-in in the future. It so happened that on Tuesday's, they offer a special deal on men's haircuts. When I walked in, the ambiance was calm and upscale. I was immediately greeted, and offered a drink. That's what I call an un-expected quality service moment. I was over 15 minutes early for my appointed time, but I didn't have to wait much more than around 8 minutes. The only stylist on duty that evening, Kara, was friendly and pleasant in a sincere sort of way. The most important part about a haircut, of course, is the haircut. Kara asked what I wanted, and then proceeded to execute as I requested. Without me having to point out to her, she noticed a couple spots where I have cowlicks, and made sure to trim appropriately so it would look even (no one ever seems to notice without prompting). She paid attention, was detailed in her work, and did not rush. I got the cut, and shampoo, for a couple bucks more than what I would have paid at a big-chain cuttery, but I got an upscale service.“
