My husband and I have had two, bare bones, open storage rooms, downstairs in our bi-level home. Our washer/dryer was in a most awkward hallway position due to the previous owners--and we weren't quite sure how to make that space work more efficiently (and aesthetically) for us.

Tom came out and took measurements, talked us through the whole process of moving our laundry units, updating the plumbing & electrical, and framing out a new (large) reach-in closet. He even brought up aspects of the project that I had not thought of, which was incredibly helpful. Their quote came back at just the right price point. Their crew arrived exactly when they said they would—and they did a fantastic (professional) job of hearing me out about placements and details. They treated our home with respect and crafted that old, drab space into exactly what I had envisioned. I’m especially grateful that their electrician added more lights than I had thought we needed because it has proved to brighten up the space with beautiful clarity.

All in all, we are beyond grateful for our new and improved laundry room/closet area. We have added useful and beautiful square footage to our home. I would recommend Home One to anyone who is considering a renovation, and I will gladly reach out to them in the future when we are ready to tackle our (dream) bathroom renovation as well.“

“Every expectation of mine was exceeded by Aston Black. You will truly never regret your decision to do any home project with this company. I was actually sad when our kitchen remodel was over because it was truly a pleasure and honor to have Mark and Zane working on our kitchen.

The project started out with multiple consultation meetings with Mark followed by a very thoughtful design. Mark guided me, made suggestions, and listened to what was important to me. The time he spent going over every little detail of the project really meant a lot. Another thing that was very important to us was budget. Our kitchen remodel (including demoing of a wall and combining the dining room and kitchen, 4 new windows, relocating plumbing and gas + re-wrapping of front porch posts) was our first remodel project and budget was very important to us. Mark worked with us to create allowances for the project to ensure we had a good idea of what the project would cost in the end.

Once we signed the contract the project kicked off without a hitch. There were truly no surprises and Zane's daily communication was next level. I knew the plan for each day and who would be at my house and what work would be happening that day. Zane followed up end of day with progress pictures almost daily. The Aston Black team was on-site every day until the project was complete. They were also mindful of me working from home everyday when it came to noise (I was shocked at how quiet the project was overall!)

I really can't say enough good things. I am thankful to have found a company I could truly trust every step of the way. They even took time out of their schedule to fix small issues they saw that were outside of the scope of work. For example, when putting a vent in the garage for the range hood, they noticed our garage door opener was loose and (after checking with us to ensure it was okay) installed three new bolts to secure the opener. Another example of this was when they reenforced the threshold on a door in our garage (again not even part of the project), and existing door to our backyard that was improperly installed by another company. When they see an issue in the home, they fit it!

Another thing I appreciated was Mark using his contractor discount at Pottery Barn to help me order pendants and kitchen stools.

I would also like to mention Randy (eclectic, gas, plumbing), Steve (carpenter) and Mark T. (painter), as they were all excellent at what they do, friendly and a joy to have in our home. Aston Black and their team truly feels like family!

Recently we had a 10 unit apartment building without electric during a snowstorm and these folks got there and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly.
