I joined Club Pilates a little over a year ago because I wanted to try jumping on a reformer (had used this machine called the Shuttle MVP at PT but no regular health clubs had it, someone said the reformer most like). It is great fun, the most fun exercise you can do. The jumping is the cardio class, but they also have 'flow.' I am a terrible meditator but in a flow class I feel I'm relaxing. Should add that I liked the classes so much I even do them when I travel, once in NY and several times in DC suburbs. While the instructors are quite interesting in those places - the NY class was really hard - no studio is as beautiful and soothing as the one in Lancaster.
I recently started taking classes and the overall experience is great! The studio is always clean and the people are incredibly nice. My intro instructor Linda was great with showing me basic techniques that would be used throughout beginner classes. She was incredibly friendly and definitely well versed in pilates. My other classes after have been instructed by Karina. She is very nice and gives great advice and corrections on exercises throughout the sessions. She also offers ways to make exercises more difficult for more advanced participants. I’m brand new to pilates, and couldn’t have asked for a better studio to start.
