“Our experience with Clemleddy Construction began in the summer of 2024. We began to interview general contractors to build an addition onto our existing home in Hawley PA. Ryan Smyth became our contact and eventual project manager after being recommended by our next door neighbors. They had used Clemleddy the year before for an extensive interior and exterior home remodeling project. I had asked my neighbors whether they were happy with Clemleddy during and at the conclusion of the project. They gave a resoundingly positive response. I will say up front that for our project, from pre-construction all the way to now 3 months after completion, Ryan and his team have fully lived up to that glowing recommendation, and then some!

While Clemleddy provides in-house architectural services, we choose to design our addition with an independent architect. Ryan reviewed these plans, provided his comments which we often accepted, and then produced a clearly understandable contract with details, specifications, finishes and an estimated time schedule. Their in-house interior designer, Karen Broschart, provided her insight as we chose fixtures, tile, granite, paint colors, etc. She also pointed out and made some interior architectural changes which only enhanced the project. Ryan personally designed the construction and installation of our curb-less shower. The shower was to be built over the existing basement which had a previously installed heating system now situated directly under the proposed new shower. Space was very limited!

As the new exterior siding was being installed on the existing house, a problem was discovered with the way the original deck was attached to the house. Needless to say the correction of this problem was outside the scope of our contract. Ryan met with us personally, fully explained the situation in terms we could easily understand and proposed a fair an equitable solution. Ryan is a good problem solver. He always had our best interests at heart; with respect to design, materials, construction, and especially cost.

Which brings me to my final point: communication. My primary residence is in the Philadelphia suburbs and 99% of the construction took place without a homeowner onsite. Ryan, a friendly, courteous and personable individual, made this project a pleasure by texting and calling me on a regular basis. If ever I had a question or issue with something I saw in daily construction pictures, Ryan answered my calls and texts almost immediately. Communication is key to the success of these projects and Ryan and his team nailed it.

Living in the new addition for the past 3 months has been wonderful. Everyday we appreciate their expertise and attention to details. In the past 30 years I have built several commercial and residential budlings in the Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. I would rank this project with Clemleddy Construction, the process and the finished product, among the best that I experienced. I would recommend Clemleddy Construction without any hesitation.”
