“Over the past two weeks, I started noticing flashes in the corner of my eye along with floaters. On Friday (April 10), I visited Dr. Douglas O’Connor. He carefully performed a series of thorough examinations and diagnosed a vitreous horseshoe tear.
He strongly advised that I seek immediate laser treatment to prevent the condition from worsening.

What truly stood out was that he went above and beyond—he personally called multiple nearby eye clinics to find a doctor who could see me right away, but unfortunately none were available. In the end, he was able to secure an appointment for me at Wills Eye Hospital in Center City Philadelphia.

I successfully underwent laser surgery there the very same day.

She helped me through the pre-exam and was so caring and gentle, explaining what she was doing and why each step mattered. She made the whole process feel easy and reassuring, and her warm, calm personality instantly puts you at ease. Debbie, the store manager… where do I begin? She truly feels like the glue that holds the whole place together. People coming in and out of this location clearly know her well, and it’s easy to see why. My personal experience with her was excellent: she’s caring, patient, and really listens to what you want and need. She also gives thoughtful recommendations without ever making you feel rushed or pressured.

“I had previously used an optical shop associated with my eye doctor, and when that closed I made the mistake of going to one of the large chain stores, which resulted in nearly a year of frustrations and 2 pairs of glasses neither of which really worked. I wear high prescription progressives which makes things extra challenging. I wish I had found Lansdale Optical sooner! Wonderfully knowledgeable and welcoming.
