Over the past two weeks, I started noticing flashes in the corner of my eye along with floaters. On Friday (April 10), I visited Dr. Douglas O’Connor. He carefully performed a series of thorough examinations and diagnosed a vitreous horseshoe tear.
He strongly advised that I seek immediate laser treatment to prevent the condition from worsening.
What truly stood out was that he went above and beyond—he personally called multiple nearby eye clinics to find a doctor who could see me right away, but unfortunately none were available. In the end, he was able to secure an appointment for me at Wills Eye Hospital in Center City Philadelphia.

The five stars is only for the optometrists. I have been going to this location for a long time. I have seen all the doctors at this location at least once before (Dr. O’Connor, Dr. Friedman, and Dr. Amos). They are all very knowledgeable, kind, and personable. I have no complaints with any of them and have had no issues. They are the reason I keep going back.
The customer service of the other associates at this location has been lacking (has been like this for years! no change at all). There is no greeting when you walk in (just deer in headlight stares), no smiles, and kind of treat you like a nuisance. I understand not wanting to be there because it’s work,...read full review
