“We opted to replace our 23-year-old roof before any noticeable leaks and talked to an Elements rep at the Portland Home Show. Bottom line: We have a good-looking roof and a cleaned-up yard. During the process, Elements discovered—and showed us—that nearly all our roof decking (the plywood sheet layer) was warped and needed to be replaced. So, we ended up paying nearly twice as much as originally quoted. (Initial inspections never find this level of “uh oh.” It would have happened with any other roofer.)

Things we liked/appreciated: 1) Quick and thorough responses to our questions – especially detailed questions that helped me compare one bid with another; 2) Ease of reaching and communicating with Jessica, the Operations Manager, who worked with us to schedule our job; 3) Quick and courteous responses from Ben, as well as excellent communication between Ben and the work crew; 4) Ben’s final walk-through with us was on time and thorough.

To consider: Elements involved multiple team members, which sometimes was great and other times resulted in crossed wires. They had to reschedule our initial inspection, and sadly we didn’t speak the same language as the inspector who arrived on the revised date. (The written report was clear and thorough, though.) All in all, replacing a roof is a stressful act of trust for the homeowner. Elements did a solid job for us.“

“Oleg was very informative and responsive when I contacted him for an estimate and with questions. We chose a package that included cleaning roof, hypochlorite moss treatment, gutter cleaning, soft wash of siding, power-washing the drive and walk, and washing exterior windows. Little Prince's price for this work was very competitive. Blake arrived for the work on time and with a very professional work ethic and positive attitude. He worked diligently and did a great job on all components of this job. He took care to rinse off our plants closes to the house, as we did have some roof moss and the hypochlorite solution can damage or discolor your plants. In response to one homeowner noting some burn marks on their plants, I would just recommend to other home owners to ask for a plant rinse-off or to go out and thoroughly rinse your affected plants as it is not really possible for the workers to completely prevent the solution from getting on plants near or under your roofline. What we appreciate about the type of moss treatment is that it works much faster and is more thorough at removing moss, compared to powdered solutions that we have had applied by different companies over the previous years. Oleg has even offered to send someone out in a few weeks at our request to do another soft brush or blowing of the remaining moss off of the roof once it browns and dies such that the roots have let go and are no longer a threat to the roof tiles. We have never had such a generous offer with any other company, before and it's nice to not have to wait for a torrential downpour to remove the dead moss. The clean siding, drive and windows look great too! I would definitely use Little Prince again for any of their services! Great value, great service, great job!!“

It was grimy. The house is like new again. The windows look brand new. The screens too. The white trim is white again. The power washed patios and driveway are also unrecognizable.
