Jess, who has been there for years, can handle any haircut, from a longish shag to a pixie, and she truly listens to her clients, often creating natural-looking highlights that don’t require much upkeep. Clients appreciate her ability to work with wavy hair and busy lifestyles, making hair look adorable with very little effort. Michelle is also highly praised for her care and thoughtfulness, leaving clients feeling refreshed, focused, and beautiful after their appointments. The salon uses high-quality, eco-friendly, and natural products, prioritizing the health of clients’ hair. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Michelle at Ritual Beauty. While visiting Portland, I was specifically looking for someone who really knew how to cut a shag—and somehow I hit the jackpot.
I lived in the Bay Area for years and have had my hair cut at some excellent salons, including Edo Salon in Oakland, so I know what a really skilled shag cut looks like. Michelle’s work was absolutely on par with what I would expect from a master stylist at a top SF or LA salon—and a cut of this caliber would easily cost hundreds of dollars there.

I cannot believe how truly magickal my hair experience was with Michelle. From the moment I walked in and saw a witchy magazine in their sweet waiting area (I knew I was in the right spot), the teas & cold beverages offered, the smell of incense cleansing the space, and of course I was delighted to see familiar oracle decks available for use ... I knew I'd found my new hair home. Lacy is the best! The salon is so beautiful, welcoming and inviting. Lacy is a ray of sunshine and she does gorgeous hair! Can’t say enough good things, perfection!
