I have curly hair and was looking for a while here in Oregon for a hairdresser who can do a good hair cut on my curly hair, got it messed up very bad it was very uneven from my last cut, found Arin and he is very talented he did a rezo cut for my very tight curly hair and I loved it, I went to different salons in this area specialized in curly hair but non of them did a good job, Arin is a very good hairdresser for curly hair if you have curly hair go with Arin your curls will love it.
There simply are not enough words to express how lovely Amanda is at 220 - I have been seeing them for almost two years now and every single cut has been nothing short of exactly what I wished for. Not only do they absolutely KILL IT with every iteration of my shag cut we have decided on, but each visit is delivered in a comfortable and communicative space. Amanda is thorough with the planning stage, and their continued check ins during a cut always ensure I am comfy with where the cut is going. Followed Andrea Husebye when she joined and what a fantastic location, space and vibe. Realized it's a true Portland founding salon, went to 220 in the early 2000 in a little inner SW Ankeny salon, both street level, vine was so London or NYC in the 70s. I love this new version of 220. And to add there is the most amazing resale clothing boutique below them, Tigers Den, excellent curration of true vintage and new, picked up 4 pieces that are excellent. And totally reasonably priced and CLEAN AF.
