“I was a little scared by some of the negative reviews, and after my visit I felt I should come on here and say that my experience was mostly good. The front staff was nice and they didn't seem burned out or rude at all. I got called back promptly. I was seeing Dr. Liu and her assistant was named Gail. Gail was very nice. The only hiccup was the doctor started yelling for her in the hallway and she cut our consultation short before I could really tell her why I was there. I tried to quickly say it and she indicated it would be fine and the doctor would know I was there for multiple concerns. I don't blame Gail for having to run off. A few minutes later I heard the doctor yelling for her in the hallway again. It might be worth them working out a different communication system because that seems stressful for everyone!A couple minutes after my appointment time Dr. Liu came in and was very nice and projected that she knew what she was doing. Her diploma on the wall was from Stanford so that's pretty impressive! One of my concerns was a lesion on my hand and after discussing the options, we decided it was best to remove it. She called in Gail and after signing a waiver, things seemed to spring out of everywhere instantly. Bottles, syringes, razor blades. I didn't even see where the needle came from, all of a sudden it was just coming at me.This might just be me, but I used to be a health care worker and in my time I saw needles accidentally get used on two different people and I have an extreme phobia of this and always like to see the needle get uncapped. In this tidal wave, I felt I couldn't stop and be a jerk and say hey, that's a fresh needle, right? Because of course it was, and that would have been an insulting question. But my unreasonable phobia still reared up and I really didn't like this high speed. My other unreasonable phobia reared up when I saw they were going to use on me a bottle of aluminum chloride that is permanently open on the counter with long q tips sticking out of it. Again, it was probably fine. I'm just weird about medical liquids permanently open on counters. My suggestion would be to put it in a cabinet. It doesn't take that much longer to pull it out, and the patient isn't worried about whether it's clean or not.So basically, everybody was very nice and very professional. I think my bugaboos arose because of the speed at which everything was going. I understand it's a medical clinic and they need to stay on schedule though! The only other thing I would say is that the clinic was very clean, but also very outdated and dingy feeling. This in no way affected my care though!“
