Deb is an astounding teacher who clearly loves her craft! She guides class in a way that’s challenging and mindful of each student’s level of experience and physical limitations, integrating adjustments in technique to ensure everyone that attends gets the workout that fits his or her individual needs. I always stand taller and feel stronger after class and can’t wait to return for the next one!
As a trail running rat, I didn’t expect to spend much of my summer indoors until I injured my hip in a big way. I was recommended to add Pilates to my PT to aid recovery, and I couldn’t be happier that I did. I attended both group classes and private sessions and they delivered so much sneaky strength and rehab that I find myself now, end of summer, back to more mobility than I could have expected. Heather in particular has been a phenomenal instructor: challenging, attentive, patient, and did I mention challenging? She focused on every part of my body system from the arches of my feet, to the space left under my back, to ways my right and left shoulder behave differently....read full review
Bend Pilates is an incredible place to practice and learn Pilates. The teachers are all excellent—my personal favorites are Jump with Heather, Reformer with Alexa, and Core Align with Caroline. The studio is spacious and has every piece of Pilates and strength training equipment you could ever ask for. Additionally, the people who practice here are delightful and range in ages and abilities; there is something for everyone and teachers are keyed into students’ various needs and injuries. I am so grateful to Deb for creating such a welcoming and knowledge driven practice space—it’s my Bend Pilates home.
