“The store's atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. I got my hair cut with Julien. He is very knowledgeable, communicative and helped guide me to a style that fit what I was looking for using his vast insight. The communication was very open; he would check in with me during the process to see if the cut was what I was looking for and he would explain some of the cutting/styling process so I understood what techniques were being used and their results. He has an amazing fun energy and it was apparent the care and excitement he has for his craft. It was very pleasant getting my hair cut with Julien. I would absolutely recommend to all my friends, especially my queer friends. 10/10“

“Andreea Hair Colourist: I first went to Andreea in 2015 and she transformed my hair. It was a breath of fresh hair to meet a colourist that has the health of your hair as priority and works with your natural to give you blonde that looks fabulous over months of time. My hair used to be over processed, dry and broken. I now get complements all the time about the health and colour of my hair. I live in Ottawa now and have been travelling back to Toronto to have Andreea do my blonde for the past 5 years because I have never found anyone who puts that level of effort and commitment into my hair. She works with her existing pattern and while I am there for a long time.. the quality and quantity of melted/blended blonde I leave with is unmatched. She is the only hair colourist I know that can do that, so that I am not needing to rush back in in a couple months. Her passion for a job done to perfection is evident when you watch her work. She takes incredible pride in her technique and finished product. Andreea settles for nothing less than amazing..every time. I have SO much hair. Blonde hair of that quantity, that beautiful, that blended will cost you...but it's worth every penny. The whole team at ProHair are so lovely and feel like family when I come in year after year. “I've been going to Antica for quite some time now.

I can whole heartedly say: by far the best barbershop in Toronto.

1st. Location: industrial area, which makes this spot a hidden gem. Very unassuming from outside, but very warm on thr inside.

2. Aesthetic: warm, inviting, vintage countertops and mirrors brought in from Chicago, waiting area is comfortable and almost gives off a cigar lounge vibe and most of all.. CLEAN. very very clean.

3. Service: 1 word, Consistent. Michael is a master at his craft, talkative yet engaging. Also ensures you give you what you're looking for. It doesn't feel transactional like these other barbershops.

“It had been years since I visited a hair salon, as many salons are often inaccessible for people with disabilities and for those in larger bodies. Because of this, I started cutting my own hair at home. Unfortunately, I once accidentally chopped off a huge chunk, leaving my hair uneven and choppy.

Thankfully, I ran into Tanya—my hairstylist from back in the day. Not only did Tanya fix my hair beautifully, but she also made me feel completely comfortable by providing a safe, non-judgmental environment. I was also concerned about the salon chairs being too small or uncomfortable, but Tanya reassured me they were both accessible and comfortable.

I’ll definitely be visiting again and sharing my positive experience. ?“
