I recently had an intermittent problem with my new Rinnai RX199iN tankless water heater. Ray first came to inspect the unit, and because the problem could not be diagnosed immediately, he returned with another technician as promised.
On the second visit, Ray thoroughly checked the system and contacted Rinnai Technical Support while he was at my home. He eventually discovered that a plant leaf had partially blocked the outside air-intake pipe, preventing the heater from getting sufficient air. He removed the obstruction, and the hot water immediately started working properly again.
What impressed me most was Ray’s honesty. He could easily have suggested expensive repairs or replacement parts, but he did not. He correctly identified the simple cause of the problem and resolved it without unnecessary work or parts.
Ray was also very respectful, patient and professional throughout the entire process. He explained what he was checking and gave me a written receipt describing the work.
