They always address them by name as soon as we walk in the door, show the upmost compassion, are extremely knowledgeable and have fantastic customer service. I also appreciate that I have absolutely always been able to get them in to be seen when illness happens vs. being told they're too busy to squeeze us in which I often encountered at our old vet. “My girlfriend and I adopted a 2 year old pit mix named Kiwi and needed a vet. We started seeing Dr. Bater because of the good google reviews, and they were not wrong! She has been super patient with us as new dog owners, explains all of her thoughts on any disease/medicine/vaccine and thoroughly explains anything we’ve had questions about.Kiwi is still working on her manners, but Dr. Bater has gone above and beyond by giving us a ton of helpful tips for training, and is super patient if Kiwi isn’t behaving perfectly in the office. The receptionist Chris (my apologies if spelled wrong), and any other employee/nurse we’ve encountered is so patient and polite at every visit. I didn’t exactly know what to expect to pay here, but the prices for each appointment, medication, and vaccine are completely affordable (and I’m a college student!)I am grateful we found this place when we were looking, and we would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a new vet!“
“I am on a very limited income when my dog got a fishing hook stuck in her foot I had maybe $125 I call one vet and they tell me it's $250 and they can't do it for any less I called Dr Nash and he tells me bring her in it wouldn't be a problem and he took care of her like it was his own baby and from then on out I have been with him I am so grateful he is now treating my other baby that has diabetes I would recommend him highly he treats your babies like they are his babies and the staff is awesome“

“I can't say enough about this place... Saturday morning around 10:00AM it was clear our dog needed help. There were no signs of an issue at Midnight the previous evening. Not knowing where to turn I called Best Friends. We were in an exam room by 10:40. After an initial evaluation and an X-Ray we knew... we weren't taking our dog home. The staff was amazing, they explained all the options to us (we can do further testing to confirm, we can do surgery, we can do...). They also gave an honest assessment of life expectancy and quality with the options. They weren't just going through a decision tree... Once we made the decision to put our dog out of her pain they waited for our family to arrive so we could all say goodbye. While heartbreaking, the process was gentle and kind. If we are ever in need of Vet services in the future, this is where we will go. Thank you!“

“My first visit with them was perfect, they do everything in the room with you so there's no worries about what could be going on behind closed doors.Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and clearly loved their jobs. The people that helped my dog were helpful, informative, and made sure to answer any questions I had.They also don't run you for your money here, I got a check up, shots/vaccinations, as well as a test for my dogs ears and medication. It cost as much I've paid for just a normal wellness check up at the other big name vet I use to go to.“
“I recently took a stray cat in that I found to Suburban Animal Clinic (SAC) and they allowed me to bring the cat in the same day I called. They were so easy to work with and were so sweet when making sure the cat had everything it needed. It was a good experience. Fast forward a week or two and my first dog, a mastiff great dane mix named Bruno, was really feeling his borrowed time. He was 12 years old and a lot of dog (150lbs), but he was even more of sweetheart. Nothing can prepare you for how you will actually feel making that decision, but SAC couldn't have done better helping me, as well as Bruno. I will forever be grateful to everyone who was there with Bruno and I.It's not easy looking for another vet after your favorite one retires. However, if you're seeking a good vet and a welcoming clinic, I'd stop here. I don't think people look forward going to the vet due to the reason behind the visit, but I do look forward to working with them in the future with my lab.“

“I've been going to Chittenden for years with my kitty and they have always been kind and helped me make the right decisions for my lil buddy. I brought a stray here who I had been nursing back to health for 5 months in hopes of adopting, and unfortunately found out he was FeLV positive and had to be rehomed to protect my cat. I've always recommended Chittenden to people with pets, but this past visit solidified it for me. They showed me and my kitties immense amounts of care and kindness, and checked in on me afterwards. They made a really rough night just a little bit more palatable and I am extremely grateful for that. Peanut, Oyster, and I love Chittenden Vet!“
“Dr. White and the staff are caring and so very accommodating. She has cared for our pet family for 10 years. She even outs up with our frantic calls and many questions. She takes her time and explain plans of care to us and has even offered care when our 14 year old shih tzu had to be humanely euthanized.“
