When I told her the readers were not helping, she suggested buying stronger readers. “Ann Kurzer was so welcoming, kind, and thorough. I’ve only recently started to lose my eyesight and it’s been upsetting for me since I’ve had perfect vision my whole life. I started getting contacts and glasses with Shawnee Optical. Every contact I tried there felt like sand was in my eyes, they would itch and burn, and I just believed contacts weren’t compatible with me since Shawnee never gave me a lot of options. I also spent hundreds of dollars with them trying to find glasses that worked well but I never got a good pair. I gave up and resigned myself to cheap readers.
