Also if you are new to a group class she will also try and give extra explanation for any new stretches. I love the small class size. It makes things much more comfortable and you still get some one on one attention if you aren't posing quite right. Diana takes her time in each class to explain the why's and how's of every pose every movement and why it is so important to always maintain proper form. She is the most knowledgeable instructor I have ever had in that she just doesn't instruct a class - she teaches classes from her extensive knowledge of how the body works. She has adjusted my body more than once and has given me a set of exercises to do at home. My own Chiropractor endorses her. Honestly I would personally seek Diana's assistance in diagnosing something that is causing me pain - I love to hear her opinion. I have been a client at Essence for over 4 years - Diana and her staff have never been anything but kind to me. Since starting at Essence I eat healthier and have lost weight. I feel great and have made some friends along the way. During COVID she was one of the first studios to offer "zoom" classes and she did it from her heart only charging $5 or donation for classes. As for cleanliness - I am not sure where or when the pictures were taken in the previous comment - is it even at Essence please provide proof. The Essence I attend is extremely clean and tidy. From my experience signing up for class online is easy - then I go to the studio and I have never I mean never had an issue of the door being locked when I get there at the start of class. Also if you can't reach the studio just a hint - there is always someone answering the phones on Monday morning. And whenever I I can't reach someone I have left a message and they call me back within 24 hours at the most. From my experience Essence studio has had to do a lot of adjusting because of COVID. But haven't we all..... haven't most businesses - especially small businesses - it has been a time of adjustment for all of us. Above all Essence has helped me to achieve a sense of gratitude and patience.“

I also noticed a remarkable difference in the way that I felt the next day - much more clear headed and focused. I'm plan to attend more classes!“

2859 N Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo“So the dumbbells are completely falling apart here and as noted on other reviews, much of the equipment is not functional.
I have mentioned this several times to the employee(s) who seem only concerned about making more sales calls on the phone. Last September they suddenly closed their Maumee location and there are tons of red flag indicators at this location. I will be totally shocked if this gym is still open in 6 months!!
Update- all new dumbbells
They are improving!“

“When I moved to NW Ohio for school a few years ago, this was the first and only Club Pilates location around that I visited. It instantly became a safe space for me. Christina Bish, who runs the studio, is hilarious and incredibly welcoming. She brings an energy that makes people feel comfortable from the start. More than that, she is deeply encouraging; she believes in others more than many people believe in themselves. Christina also has an impressive understanding of the body and the connection between Pilates and neuroscience, which adds a highly-informed / thoughtful layer to her approach to movement and teaching. She understands not just movement itself, but how movement can rewire neural pathways, deepen body awareness, and build strength on multiple levels. Christina’s depth shows! I also have tremendous appreciation for Kim Moses and Patty McMullen. They are clearly disciples of Classical Pilates. They are precise, disciplined, and deeply committed to the integrity of Pilates’ original method. At the same time, they are adaptable and skilled at meeting newer, modern Pilates recruits exactly where they are. Their cueing, sequencing, and respect for form create an environment where you feel both challenged and supported. Whether someone is brand new to Pilates or refining advanced work, they teach with clarity, intention, and care. I am grateful for this space, and it warms my heart to practice at this location. Club Pilates Perrysburg is not just a place for a wide range of sessions / workouts; it’s a place to grow stronger mentally, emotionally, and physically.“
