Optometrists in Hamilton

“This was my first visit to the Hamilton Midwest Eyecare Center as Dr. Terry Leach is my Ophthalmologist and went to this office. I drove 34 miles and 40 minutes without a second thought of following him. Upon arriving, the person behind the receptionist desk was somewhat cordial and when she asked for my driver’s license and insurance card, I informed I recently lost my license but had other identification with a picture and it became interesting at that point. She stated she had to have a driver’s license. I explained I have been a patient with this practice for 30 plus years (starting with Tri-State Centers for Sight with Dr. Phillip Poon) and all of my information was in the system, including a copy of my license I just lost while traveling to Houston, Texas and just returning home. Therefore, I had not had the chance to replace them before the eye appointment. I asked if my file could be pulled and I would verify any information in it coupled with other pieces of identification. At this point, I did not know how the visit would go until Rhonda who was also at the receptionist desk graciously intervened with a voice of reason in a pleasant and professional manner stating, “we have everything we need, and it is ok just make a comment”. She (did not get her name) said to both of us it is still not a license and the last one in the system was from 2023. Had she even thought about what she was saying and looking at she should have figured out that licenses are issued every four years which means the license on file in the system would have been the most recent issued driver’s license and the same ones I would have been giving to her had they not been lost as they do not expire until 8-25-2027. Rhonda then stated she would log and note everything. After all of that my insurance card and the other identification with my picture were copied and she stated “oh I could have used this”—really!! My wait time was not long (approximately 5 minutes) and I was called by Molly who was pleasant, engaging, professional and thorough. She was a joy which eased my concerns of this Midwest Eyecare location. The visit ended up going well as Dr. Leach is always the very best and his assistant Jen was also great. I do not mind traveling that distance because Dr. Leach’s expertise and thoroughness has kept me in great health with my eyes and vision. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.“
