“Eddie became my place of refuge during covid and my early semi-retirement. He helped me grow out my life-long treated hair color, easing me into my "new" gray. He's fun to talk with, easy to set appointments with, fast, and light on my pocketbook. He's given me excellent "pool hair" advice in the summer, and keeps my hair healthy and soft. His shop is minutes from my Oakwood home. (During nice weather, he lets me park my electric bicycle inside too! ) I've watched him help the unfortunate and semi-homeless by giving a haircut and at times, a free meal voucher. He's hosted toys for tots, and a toy train attraction in his one-seat yet comfy shop. I suspect I'm a scarce female client, but I am so happy with his services. Thanks Eddie for being a community resource, for keeping me "kempt," and saving me time and $$$! Where have you been all my life? Thank you for being such a community asset!“

“I've been getting my hair cut here since 2016. I've seen three stylists. One stylist moved on to teach for Aveda. Another one did my hair for my mother's wedding (Emily, excellent stylist) and now I've been with Jordyn for 4 years or so. She's so good that my husband sees her too. Jordyn is able to translate my hopes and aspirations for my hair color and style and make them into a reality. She makes my hair more beautiful than I anticipated it ever could be. I've been growing out a bob for four years and am now well past my shoulders. She's magical.All of Square One salons I'd recommend. My favorite is the one in the cannery district on 3rd street. High ceilings in an old building with tons of exposed brick and charm. I've also been to the Centerville location downtown Centerville. The Brown Street location is convenient, and only drawback here is the salon is on the second floor, so the majority of the space is not fully accessible but I bet they could service someone on the ground floor by relocating some tools. A ramp enters from the sidewalk on the front entrance to a back patio where someone could conceivably enter via wheelchair for nail/spa services and retail.I would also recommend Beth at the 3rd street location. I've been there for a blowout before and she gives good attention to detail in styling. This is a brand of salons which maintains their stylists and managers and I can't speak highly enough of them.Picture is from the wedding being an adult flower girl. Jordyn did the color, Emily did the styling to accommodate the floral crown made by myself at Flowerman.“
