“I first met Colleen two years ago when my contacts popped out in the middle of the night. I initially called America’s Best and asked for a trial pair to get me through until my next exam, but they refused because I was just three days past my annual exam date. It’s worth noting that my prescription is -5.75, so without them, I am essentially blind.
Frustrated, I called different private practices in the area that accepted my insurance and landed at Lakewood Vision Center. I explained my situation to Colleen, and she immediately told me to come in and gave me a pair of contacts to get me through the week before I even had an official exam. I saw Dr. Ross three days later. Dr. Ross is fantastic and knows her stuff.

“To be honest, I didn’t have a standard for eye care before coming here, but I most certainly do now. They were very kind to me. Dr. Kammer was incredibly personable and attentive. He asked me what my experience was at my past eye doctor (Pearle Vision) and I shared how they wouldn’t give me my prescription without me buying my contacts and glasses through them and was pressured into buying their brand of contacts instead of my regular brand, and their brand is considerably less durable than my previous and current brands.
Dr. Kammer apologized on their behalf, told me that my prescription is my property, and that he was going to do everything he could to give me the best experience possible, and he most definitely did!
