I chose them for the job (from among several other contractors) not only because they have done other high-quality work at my mother’s aging home. But also because they provided a very detailed estimate, and spent time with me patiently explaining the estimate, as well as the process to be used in doing the work. Discussing job with Mark gave me a high confidence level that the work would be done right. Also, they priced the job accurately and fairly. They weren’t the cheapest, nor the most expensive. They stuck to their estimate, except for a cost increase due to hidden rotted, unstable areas, which was noted in estimate as a possibility (once the old porch was removed). We are very satisfied with their work, and pleased with the new porch. From start to finish, J&K were top-notch.“
