“I am very grateful for Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat for their deepest compassion on the day of my father’s burial. Regretfully, I did not use their services for the wake, only because it was done in Queens, NY to make it more accessible to family members. The day of the burial which was here in Warwick, I realized we did not have a grave marker for the cemetery. I called up and spoke to Roger, and within the hour they had made a grave marker with my father’s name, date of birth and passing. Upon arrival, I was greeted with the marker, without charge, while everyone expressed their condolences. On one of the hardest days of my life, Roger and staff made my heart feel whole. It’s amazing to see what a kind gesture can do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your love, empathy and support. Very grateful“

“I have so much to be thankful about with the care the staff at Richards showed me . Richard, Bryan, Sarah and Hayden took me through each step with kindness and professionalism. My husband was treated with respect and gentleness. The wake was handled so professionally and the guests all commented how truly dear Sarah was during the entire day and evening .My husband was honored by two fire departments and they all felt that whatever they needed to do was honored and accepted . The morning of Jimmy's funeral the line of fire trucks , motorcycles , Emts and multiple cars taking Jimmy to the church was handled with such precision. When getting to St.Joseph's on germantown rd the amount of people waiting was shockingly beautiful. Richard made each person feel appreciated by their presence and guided them to help me bring my beloved into church . The church was standing room only but felt all the love pouring out to my love . The fire truck couldn't bring Jimmy to the cemetery due to its size but Richard was there with a hearse so we could walk up to meet him and pallbearers, Jimmy's brothers in the fire departments .They mass in the church and cemetery was beautiful and lovingly prayed over by Father Jakob . We couldn't have gotten through this heartbreaking moment without Richards and St.Joseph's . You will all be in my heart foreverPamela Bayer Bartlett“
