I have been coming to this salon since 2024. After I had my daughter my hair was falling out badly and I knew I needed a cut. I always have bad luck when it comes to people cutting my hair, it always starts falling out afterwards and that’s a chance I could not take at the time. I have seen Doris salon be around for so many years and always had the same owner. That showed me that it was an individual that knew what they were doing and I could trust them with my hair. I have not regretted it since. The owner is so sweet and very kind with your hair, which is rare to find! I have continued coming back to her ever since and I’m so glad with this choice ! Highly recommend this salon !

The Doctors
I deal with Dr. Lou most of the time, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. He has a fantastic, incredibly nice approach and treats you with total professionalism every single time you sit in his chair. He listens attentively, explains exactly what’s going on with your body, and his adjustments work absolute wonders.
On the occasions where I’ve seen the other doctor, a wonderful woman Dr. Misty, the experience has been just as spectacular. She is incredibly skilled, friendly, and calm, immediately making you feel comfortable and at ease. Having two phenomenal practitioners under one roof means you are always in the best hands, no matter who you see.
The Staff & Environment
A major shoutout goes to the front desk team as well. From the moment you walk through the door, they are extremely polite, kind, and genuinely careful with your scheduling and paperwork. They make check-ins seamless and always welcome you with a warm smile, which sets a great tone for the whole visit.
The entire office is clean, comfortable, and runs beautifully. Jeff is the best barber in NYC I’ve been going to him for a decade now. The most observant and curated barber for all kinds of hair. He cuts younger children’s hair as well I brought both my nephews 3 years old and he was very patient made the hair cut experience memorable.

I have been going to the Family Kutz since 2010 with either Papi or Marlon and I must say I highly appreciate the professionalism. The craftsmanship and patience these barbers have will not be found in any facility in the area of Jamaica Ave like these guys have done in this community. I highly recommend them to anyone with any types of hair. Best thing is they are clean, blades and machines are sanitized, and the diverse music will educate you as you wait for a pristine haircut.

I decided to give Immaculate a try after they were featured on 7 On Your Side with Nina Pineda on WABC NY. I was NOT disappointed!!! Thelma came to my home, gave me a very reasonable estimate, and she and her team came and cleaned my house from top to bottom. After a renovation, that type of a deep clean is needed, and they did a fantastic job. Ann in the office followed up with me and my calls.....all in all a great experience!! I would use them again (and will) in a heartbeat!! I LOVE IMMACULATE CLEANING and would recommend highly!!!
I honestly cannot recommend my driving instructor Vee enough. From the very beginning, he made me feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to learn how to drive. His patience, kindness, and calm energy made such a huge difference during every lesson. No matter how nervous or unsure I felt, he always took the time to explain things clearly and never once made me feel judged or rushed.
What truly stood out to me was how much he cared, not just about teaching driving skills, but about helping me believe in myself. Every lesson felt positive, motivating, and full of laughter while still being incredibly informative and professional!
He is truly such an amazing soul, and I’m beyond grateful to have learned from someone so patient, understanding, and passionate about what he does. Instructors like him are rare, and he absolutely deserves recognition and a raise for the incredible work he puts into his students every single day. I originally planned to have three rooms refinished, but due to some unexpected complications, I couldn’t clear out the third room in time. I was really worried I’d be double charged or have to schedule a whole new job. But Goldstar Floors completely put my mind at ease. Kevin worked with me and gave a very fair, honest price for his crew to return later and finish that third room—no stress, no games, just real professionalism.
On the first day, I still had a large dresser in one of the rooms, positioned awkwardly near the staircase. Without hesitation, the team helped me carefully move it and maneuvered all their equipment around it smoothly. These guys are not only strong—they’re incredibly respectful and mindful of your home. They went above and beyond.
What really stood out was when, midway through the day, a gentleman named Roger stopped by. It was clear he was checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly and that I was happy with the work. That kind of accountability and attention to customer satisfaction says everything about the kind of company Goldstar is.

Good shop. Have multiple barbers and if on weekdays can seat you pretty fast even without appointment. Not all Barbers speak Spanish but they make it smooth with other barbers helping out. Great place

I have been going to Lefferts Animal Hospital for about 25 years and highly recommend them for the care of your pets. Although all the staff are great there, Dr. Acevado is my main go to vet. She has always gone the extra mile in treating my past cat and now Smokey. She is extremely kind, caring and knowledgeable and I thank her immensely for making my cat well again.
