“I had an appointment at 9:30 AM, but I arrived at 8 AM before they even opened because I read the wait times could be long and wanted to be first. Honestly, everything went way quicker than expected. Starting from the front desk, she was so sweet and welcoming. The assistant was also very kind and made me feel comfortable.

When it came to the doctor, I work in the medical field so I know not every doctor is smiling all the time and sometimes they can come off a little rude without meaning to, but he was actually funny, welcoming, and very fast. I hate dental work and just wanted everything done quickly, and he got it done in about 5 minutes while still explaining the instructions clearly.

He also gave me really good advice and made me realize I need to start taking better care of my teeth moving forward.

I went to 3 different dental offices before this one and was being quoted around $700 for 2 teeth and about $3,540 for all 4. My insurance through work honestly isn’t the best, so I expected to pay something, but this office gave me a much more reasonable price. I also brought my own X-rays and they didn’t charge me extra for anything unnecessary.

Everyone there was straightforward, funny, and easy to talk to. I was nervous because of some older reviews I saw, but the office was clean and I had a really good first experience overall.“

“The short version: this is how the dentist should be. A comfortable space, nice people, quick/easy/painless experience, and actually reasonable price. I have no notes.

Longer version: I promise this isn’t a paid review lol. This is actually one of the first reviews I’ve written. I felt compelled…because I grew up with a great dentist in my hometown, and when I tried to find a new dentist in Brooklyn, I mostly found overpriced “boutique” options, or cheap options with bad reviews — but then Reddit led me to SmileLounge, and the experience ended up being better than my old dentist, and for a fair/average price of $295 for first time cleaning + exam.

I called and got an appointment next day. The waiting room was clean/modern, and it even smelled good (incense or infused oils?). The music playing overhead was quiet and chill (frank ocean). Front desk woman very nice. Only had to wait about five minutes to be seen.

The small/medium sized exam room was also clean and comfortable. There’s a TV in front of you when you sit in the chair—they had British Bake Show on, muted with subtitles, it was calming. Hygienist was pleasant and friendly, but also not too talkative! Overall, she was quick and efficient and thorough. She started with quick easy X-rays, then took some actual photos (you get to see the up-close video or your mouth on the screen in front of you—was interesting to actually see where I had build-up, etc). She then asked if I wanted any numbing gel before cleaning. I told her I don’t think I need it (haven’t used it before or been offered it before at other offices). But she said I’m gonna go ahead and put some on your bottom gums (why not?). She mostly used the pressurized water to clean. I basically didn’t feel any pain. Even with the actual metal scraper tool. There was one moment where I winced a bit, and without being asked she put a small amount of numbing gel on that specific part of my gums. The cleaning only took about 20 minutes.

The main dentist then came in immediately to review (I’ve had to wait around a while for this final stage at other dentists). She was also very friendly and informative. She only suggested that a mouth guard could be helpful, and explained why, based on the unique wear of my teeth. But she didn’t push it too hard or pressure me, just wanted me to be aware.

The entire experience was only about 45 minutes. Chill and painless, even pleasant. I signed up for a membership. A good deal for good treatment, compared to other dentist offices.“

However, I wanted to follow up with Invisalign and a frontal implant, but their prices for those major treatments were a bit too expensive for me. I would recommend them. <3 <3 >3
