“Vilage Chapels immediately became a part of my support network when my wife passed away. They took away all of the preassure points that I thought I would have to immediately deal with and instead focused on handling my wife's last wishes with honor & respect. They facilitated a Green Burial and Wake. And had my wife was viewed in a Beutiful Woven Basket wrapped in a shroud, with her head laying upon a crown of flowers, flowers layed upon her side and a sword laying along her body. My wife being of norwegian decent she was able to leave this world as the Viking Warrior she truly was. John & George showed great empathy and care in helping me follow my wife's wishes. They transported her to her resting place in Tilson NY where she was laid to rest in A Cemetery Forest amongst the trees and foliage. Their willingness to go beyond reguler assumptions of how death should be approached afforded me the right to honor my wife wholy. Thank you and your entire team. “I would like to share my experiences when going to arrange my husbands unexpected funeral.. My daughter’s & I walked into Schwartz Funeral home on Sept.3, we were greeted by a young lady at the desk.,Shortly there after we were introduced to Eric Anderson who walked us to a private room. He explained every necessary task that needed to be accomplished. Eric was very clear in presenting all the details.After we agreed to the selections we went to select the casket. My husband & I always talked about prepaying for our funerals one never thinks you might not get the time to arrange for yourself. Every detail was accomplished all my friends & relatives & my daughters plus son-in-laws & Grandchildren , Nieces& Nephews got to say there goodbyes in a beautiful & caring way. The added touch for family & friends who were unable to attend watched on Youtube. Plus a photo’s were shown on a TV screen of my our life
w/ family.. Final goodbyes are never easy Eric Anderson helped us through this passage with true empathy, I sincerely am grateful for this. Timing was perfect to get to the cemetery all went exactly as planned!! I will be planning my funeral along w/ our headstones to complete this emotional task so my daughter’s will be spared when my time comes..“

“We have many relatives buried throughout the grounds here over the last 3-4 decades. It is a peaceful cemetery with rolling hills and beautiful foliage. We were just there today, burying my Grandmother. We don't live in NY anymore so we had to take an Uber in the procession from the church to the cemetery. When we arrived, the funeral director had to check in at the office for a couple of minutes and our Uber driver said he didn't want to take us to the site, and that is was not worth it to him to wait a few minutes, even after we offered him extra cash to wait. A gentleman who works for the cemetery, Daniel, offered to take us to the site so we didn't have to walk. He was very kind and respectful and gave us a little tour with some history. He really saved the day. 10 stars!!“
