I started Jiu-jitsu Modern in September of 2022 with absolutely Zero experience in Grappling. Since then by working with Professor Carlos not only did he help boost my self confidence but by him teaching me Jiu-jitsu it has also help me better my self as a father by my son looking at me as a Super-Hero?♂️.
I have to share my experience with Shane, who have the honor getting a tattoo from.
From the start of the consultation, Shane is a master of his craft. I had all these ideas in my head with no real picture, and Shane was able to give me all the direction and bring my ideas to life. The tattoo I wanted is very meaningful to me due to my mental health struggles and he just made everything very comfortable. He takes the time to explain everything with you, his vision, the set up, etc:
I booked my appointment immediately after the consult and just got my first session done with him yesterday. 5 hours flew by because my artist and environment was a prime condition. Shane makes sure you are comfortable, if you need a break, if you need something to drink, plays any music you’d like, etc. The amount of work he was able to complete in 5 hours is incredible. He explained the aftercare process and steps that I never had any previous artists take the time to do.
The shop is beautiful, clean, comforting, and his other staff member Stacie is very kind and lovely.

I went in to have my computer updated to Windows 11 from Windows 10, and couldn't be happier! Ben is very personable and is very patient with his customers. My computer was also acting sluggish, so he took a look at it, and was able to make it run faster. Ben wanted me to try my computer before I took it home to see if I had any questions, and I couldn't be happier! It is a pleasure to know that there is someone local who I can bring any inquiries I have about my computer/printer and know that I will get an honest answer to any question. Ben is totally for his customers and not looking to make anymore money for himself by trying to sell different products. He is a treasure!

I always have the pleasure to come to this barber shop and I have to say, it’s hands down the best barber shop experience I've ever had. From the moment I always walk in, Im greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff is incredibly skilled and attentive, taking the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and delivering it perfectly. It’s so welcoming not just for adults but for kids too. The service is top notch every detail is taken care of, and you can tell the team genuinely cares about their clients. My barber Gio is an amazingly skilled barber and I can always count on him for anything.
Brain and his crew have now become part of our family. We originally hired him to remove and replace an old outdoor deck and build a gym room in our basement. He and his team showed up on time every day and did a beautiful job to our specifications. We then brought him back to help us remodel a bathroom, and again, we spoke about the job often, even before he started working. He was responsive to all our questions (and we had a lot,) and very patient with remodeling rookies. He started and finished within the time frame he estimated. Our third job with Brian was outdoor lighting and various other repairs we needed done, and again he and his team did the job efficiently. He is professional, friendly, price conscious, and a pleasure to work with.

Kenny called 30 minutes before arriving. He took his time with what the previous cesspool company called a vent stack issue, and ruled it out. Turns out I had three separate and unrelated problems, and he quickly fixed all three. Kenny is extremely tidy as he works, wears booties and gloves in your home. If you have any doubt about how he operates, just take a peek inside his immaculate and organized work van! I highly recommend using Kenny and Down the Drain Sewer Services.
I will never look for another company, if ever I need him again, it will always be this one. I also recommend this company to anyone. As I am writing this Jose is cleaning the front of my house for the second time lol (they are working in the back). John was easy to work with, if he didn’t have an answer his Forman Jose’ did. The plans were beautiful and I got caught up and said do everything, unfortunately I didn’t think about my own mobility. That being said, when I finally got the nerve up to tell John that the retaining wall they just built a few days earlier wouldn’t be good for me and needed to be changed he was extremely understanding. With no hesitation, they took that wall down and redid it making small steps. It is gorgeous and I am so thankful that I went with this company. They figured out how to change the design even though Jose’ and John were concerned about the drainage, job well done. I could go on about the hard workers, as I can’t say enough about this company. Pavers are done and looking beautiful soon the sod will be down and I will get busy so I want to make sure I write this review and make sure that they know how much I appreciate what a wonderful job they did everything this absolutely beautiful. It is always great when your expectations are exceeded. I brought in a circuit board that needed some micro soldering. Jimmy the tech ( I believe) came out and got it done within 20 minutes. I was ecstatic!!!!!!! He saved me $300.00 in purchases that would of been needed for replacement. The young ladies that work there are extremely charming and professional. What a great place! Highly recommended.
I flew from Florida and was just visiting but I came across Wafa’s page and NEEDED to try out her services! Not only were the services phenomenal, but her energy is so high and she’s such a pleasure to be around! I would recommend the butt lifting session, wood therapy, lipo cavitation, and her blowouts. I tried each service and was blown away. I will be flying back once a month!

I’ve known David since high school, and he’s been cutting mine and my sons hair for about 7-8 years maybe more. He’s one of the best if not THE best not only on the island but in the tri-state area. Just an awesome barber, I have one of the toughest facial hair a barber can ever work with cuz it’s very thick, and every single time david never misses and makes my beard look perfect! Excellent practitioner! Easy to make appointment, friendly staff. I walked in limping and in tears from my sciatic nerve pain and he realigned my spine, and I walked out with no pain and no limping. Wonderful! Truly was like a miracle! In the past I had shoulder pain and the same a couple of sessions realigned and free of pain for years. I always said, the two things I am so happy that my father in law did, was have a great daughter (my wife) and introduce us to Rebecca and team. Such a delight knowing that I don't have to worry come tax time. She even went back and amended tax returns from a previous account to save us more money. Nelson from Precise Security is a man of his word. Installation was seem-less and His work was very clean and top notch. All wires hidden and conduit were professionally done. The cameras are in great locations where he recommended to put them. His crew was on time and were finished in a timely manner. They cleaned up when they were done as if they were never there. I will definitely be hiring him to do my next home.
I ordered flowers to be delivered to my place of employment for a coworker. She wound up not coming in to work the day of delivery. I called early and asked if they could send them to her home. They are more than happy to switch it! I’m sorry I didn’t get the woman’s name who helped me but she was great! She guaranteed me the flowers would look beautiful but they were above and beyond! Shay is very professional, attentive and has an overall great personality. I’m using waxing because I get unsightly hair bumps and discoloration from shaving. She made sure that I was completely satisfied with her services. I’m so glad that I found her. Visiting from Florida but I’ll be back.

I got my nails done at JC Color Nails some time ago but my original review had disappeared.
I got a gel French manicure on my natural nails and I think they did a very good job. The clear natural base looked great. I also got a pedicure and the technician was great. The manicure lasted over two weeks.
My only complaint was feeling rushed. I called and made an appointment and stated what services I wanted. I told them I was on my way, and would be there in 20 minutes, which was about an hour and a half before closing. I think I spoke to the male owner. When I got there I was told by the female owner, they wouldn't have time to do my nails, it was too late. I asked her "...then why was I told to come in, because I specifically stated what I was getting done on the phone...?". I reiterated what I was having done and told her I would just leave after my pedicure. She conceded to do my nails when she realized I was just getting gel on natural nails; but I shouldn't have had to go through that, when I called ahead, and arrived when I said I would. I could accept that position if I were a walk in.
I had a pleasant experience with her after that and like I said my nails come out nice, but the person answering the phone and booking should communicate better with the individuals performing services, especially if they're the owners. Your failure to communicate shouldn't put me in an uncomfortable position.
Overall, I would go again because they did a good job.
The studio is such a good vibe, and so warm and welcoming. I saw Mari D for my lashes and she was great. She was so diligent and gentle when she was doing my lashes. She is so easy to talk to and super nice! I am so happy with the way they came out, I would definitely recommend Mari when booking!

I went for a screening and to have a few things checked out at the North Babylon office. The dermatologist was very pleasant and friendly. She answered my questions and was very thorough. She removed a growth on my eye and discovered and froze off a few pre-cancerous and non-cancerous growths, some visible and some barely visible that I was unaware of. It was a good experience and I would recommend this office.
Planet Fitness belongs to the Tivity Health fitness network that gives me access to many health clubs for a combined fee of $29/mo. What sets Planet Fitness apart from most other clubs in the network is their Functional Training Room. It is a private space that is usually not crowded. I practice my physical therapy exercises in there, and my physical therapist is impressed with the results. Another stand out is a private changing room across from each shower station. I do not have to change in front of everyone in the locker room like I do at most other clubs in the network, like LA Fitness and Blink. Planet Fitness, unlike most other health clubs, is open 24 hours/day Monday through Friday; and the club has an innovative app, which has work out videos that track my activity and motivate me to work out consistently. I have maintained a 30-pound weight loss, and my blood test results now fall within normal ranges. Members usually sanitize equipment before and after each use, and they re-rack weights. The club is relatively clean, and staff is usually helpful.
Carlos and his crew are some of the best contractors in NY. Definitely will be calling him back for other jobs.

I just went here today with my 7yr old daughter. We didn't have an appointment and just walked in (we needed to kill some time) this is the nicest nail salon I have ever been to and I've been to a few! It was so clean, they were so nice and welcoming and it is such a relaxing atmosphere! We will definitely be back, even if it's a 1/2hr drive for us!!!

Before I moved upstate in late 2022, I went to this place and never had an issue with the service for the many years I have been going to the place (more than 5 years!). The background music is pretty decent and not very loud, giving to a quiet atmosphere while the service itself I never had problems (given I got a simple buzz cut) with the results. Occasionally, it is nice to have small talk with the person buzzing off my hair.
My Daughter got her hair done and cut here for the first time a few days ago and got a blow out as well :) we had a great experience with Z who loved my daughter and was great with her ! We came a little late and her hair took longer than expected and they stayed late to make sure everything was finished! Would reccommend!
I always get a French dip and happy with that. Recently tried the blues within the magnetic dip polish and love the blues. This is #17. Much nicer in person.
