I would like to start by saying Mary was amazing !! I got to the salon a half hour early and she has me washed and ready for my hair cut before my appt. time. I went in telling her about how I don't trust anyone with my hair and I get so nervous about getting my hair done. She didn't make it like I was crazy for that and I can't thank her enough. Mary made me feel so comfortable and at home at her salon like I've been going to her my whole life. Mary took off a good amount of hair which I needed and made my hair look amazing and feel great. I had my hair done at Mia Taylor last Friday and it was easily the best salon experience I’ve had in years! I’m someone who normally dreads getting my hair done, but Luisa made the entire experience so enjoyable and relaxing that I honestly would have stayed longer if I needed to. From the second I walked in, I was greeted as if I’d been a client there for years. Janine and Luisa are seriously the nicest, most welcoming stylists, and even the other clients were so sweet. I was really impressed with the initial consultation, I could tell Luisa was really listening and was not going to let me leave the salon without giving me exactly what I asked for. I left with an amazing partial highlight and the best haircut I think I’ve ever gotten. I had a little mishap trying to give myself curtain bangs, but Luisa fixed them so perfectly that you can’t even tell I ever touched them! The fact that this salon is only five minutes from me makes it even better. My only regret is not coming here sooner. Highly recommend! I’ll be back!

Our largest electric baseboard heater, located in our living room, died about a month ago. Having used ACE once before to fix the radiant heater in our bathroom, I immediately called Andy on a Friday and he showed up on Monday morning, despite having vacation plans that started that day!
Andy confirmed the faulty heater, ordered the part and replaced it upon his return from vacation. The service was quick, the job was clean, and the room is warm again.
I also had Andy replace the thermostat for the new heater with a digital thermostat that is WiFi accessible.

I was looking to get a generator installed at my house. I asked a friend of mine who is an electrician, if he could do the job. He told me that he doesn't do whole house generators. He told me to contact Larry who owns Light Electric. Well if my friend told me that Larry was the man to get, then that was good enough for me. I recently did a gut renovation of my apartment which I purchased in 2005. Admittedly, given I had heard so many nightmare stories from friends and colleagues who did renovations, I certainly was anxious and skeptical about proceeding. When deciding which contractor to use I did some research including talking to the resident manager of my building. Dutchman repeatedly came up as being highly recommended. And given they did a number of apartment renovations in the building it was easy to see their work firsthand and talk to other tenants about their experience. I went with Dutchman and in the end, I am glad I did. They were true professionals, kept the premises clean, and their sub contractors for the most part did exceptional work and were attentive to even the most minor details. I would highlight Wilson Saeteros (project manager) as the MVP as he was absolutely terrific to work with - always a positive ‘can do’ attitude, responsive, effective, patient and trustworthy. There were road bumps along the way - to be expected - and when we hit a particularly significant road bump towards the end, the owner, Thomas Vandeveerdonk, personally stepped in, put a game plan in place and provided reassurance that the job would be completed to our satisfaction. It was evident in my interactions with Tom, client satisfaction is his #1 priority. I would absolutely recommend Dutchman to anyone considering a renovation.
We chose All Season Contractors to do the siding, roof, gutters, skylights, build a portico, and build an addition onto our home and we could not be happier. They were terrific to work with.
