“I recently did a gut renovation of my apartment which I purchased in 2005. Admittedly, given I had heard so many nightmare stories from friends and colleagues who did renovations, I certainly was anxious and skeptical about proceeding. When deciding which contractor to use I did some research including talking to the resident manager of my building. Dutchman repeatedly came up as being highly recommended. And given they did a number of apartment renovations in the building it was easy to see their work firsthand and talk to other tenants about their experience. I went with Dutchman and in the end, I am glad I did. They were true professionals, kept the premises clean, and their sub contractors for the most part did exceptional work and were attentive to even the most minor details. I would highlight Wilson Saeteros (project manager) as the MVP as he was absolutely terrific to work with - always a positive ‘can do’ attitude, responsive, effective, patient and trustworthy. There were road bumps along the way - to be expected - and when we hit a particularly significant road bump towards the end, the owner, Thomas Vandeveerdonk, personally stepped in, put a game plan in place and provided reassurance that the job would be completed to our satisfaction. It was evident in my interactions with Tom, client satisfaction is his #1 priority. I would absolutely recommend Dutchman to anyone considering a renovation.”
