“Jay and his team did a remarkable job reimagining our front and back yards. We have a smallish plot and challenging terrain, but they made our space feel larger, more usable, and of course much more beautiful. They saw the potential that we could not. We regularly get compliments on our garden from people walking by. The garden is designed to morph with the seasons, with something always in bloom. We used mostly/all native plants that pollinators love. We and our young son now enjoy spending time in our garden so much.

During the design process, Jay and Katherine presented a great plan and they were happy to work with us to tweak it as we came up with new ideas and changed our priorities. For the installation, the team worked quickly and efficiently so we did not feel like we were living in a construction site. Everything was well coordinated. I can’t say Jay is cheap, but he is good value - we thought the price was reasonable for the design, quality, and professionalism. Usually working with contractors is a stressful process, but this was practically stress free and that’s priceless.“

“I highly recommend the services being provided by Hickory Homes. Chris Galli and his crew did an excellent job at my home. I recently had a large tree fall on my property that partially blocked my driveway and that required urgent attention. I emailed Chris on Easter morning (having worked with him very successfully in the past on another tree issue) and he responded the same day saying he would come first thing on Monday, which he did. He was able to arrange for his crew to be at my home on Wednesday of the same week and removed the fallen tree in total, including stump grinding and full clean up. While he had his crew there, I also asked him to top and prune several of my ornamental trees that were becoming very leggy and unsightly. All trees were pruned beautifully and now have great shapes, and I'm sure will grow in great this season. Hickory Homes has great equipment and skilled workers. Five Stars is well deserved.“

The whole crew worked efficiently together across a pretty big lawn space and did a phenomenal job cleaning up after themselves. Any holes they dug to get the sprinklers in the ground were patched up seamlessly right after. The foreman took extra care to make sure he connected the system to WIFI and I had the right app and login as well as a quick tutorial before they finished up. “I had a struggling, prominent Japanese Maple that was at least partially dying. I called Emerald and they took a look, quickly troubleshot the issue and provided a reasonable estimate. “I have used Felix Tree Service for many years now, for landscape work, tree work, and in the winter for snow removal. I have found Felix and his crew to be extremely good at their work, extremely reliable, and fairly priced. I have come to know Felix personally over the years and find him to be one of the few Who still really care about the quality of their work. He not only does a great job, but he keeps an eye on it to make sure that it thrives. A few years ago he planted some trees for me. About a year later one of the trees looked like it wasn’t doing very well. The next thing I knew he had come by and replaced the tree with a new bigger and better one at no cost. It was over a year later, and I had not even asked him to do it. It was not even our understanding that he would be obliged to replace a tree if it didn’t survive. But he did it on his own,which I had not seen before from any others. In the winter he does our snow removal. He does a really prompt and thorough job of plowing and salting. I don’t ever have to worry that there will be any dangerous ice around, because he comes back to check it himself and add salt when needed. I would highly recommend his services, and I am one who is very particular about the landscape, the trees, etc.“

“The project that the team did for us in Croton is without a doubt the best investment for our property we have done in many years. We have a steep slope which was covered with invasive. Our way of dealing with it was to cut it down once or twice a year, that didn’t work. The team took a couple of days to clear the area and created a new path down the hill. A few weeks later they were back planting thousands of natives of many sorts.

Now, we can hardly wait for spring to arrive so we can see the slope come to life. And this project is not yet done. My hope it that we can persuade more Crotonites to follow in our footsteps which will help our new natives continue to thrive.
