“I called Michelle on a whim, after being impressed with their spread while trick or treating on Halloween! I asked if she would be willing to host my daughter’s 7th birthday party and even though she’d never had a party in her space before, she agreed and was so incredibly helpful! She brainstormed with me to come up with a plan for the party, fully embraced our Taylor Swift theme and went above and beyond. The space looked great, the kids were having a blast and their parents reported that they couldn’t stop taking about how much fun they’d had! Michelle and her colleague did hair, makeup, nails, tattoos and glitter gel for all of the kids, helped with decorations and were wonderful with the kids. It was a great party and I would fully recommend working with Michelle!“

“I came to Licorice Beauty because my original lash tech became unreliable. Once SELEMA touched my lashes, I knew she couldn't get rid of me :)! I love the environment of the shop. Super soothing, inviting, and relaxing. But what keeps me coming back (it's been almost a year now) is the fact that Selema is masterful at what she does and has been 1000% reliable, communicative, and she' s quick. She puts a lash on EACH lash, literally no lash left behind! But let me tell you something.. this woman recently did my lashes before I went on a 3 week trip to Africa and I kid you not, this is how they looked when I arrived back to NYC (bear in mind it was 4 weeks at the point of the picture) I had to text her and ask what the hell kind of magic she'd done because Africa is HOT and I did all things concerning water.. from salt water to chlorine, as well as lots of sweating! “I am so glad that I found Elsa!!! She did my eyebrows so nicely, and exactly how I wanted it. I had my eyebrows done by a different eyebrow tech 5 years ago and although she did a good job, I overgrown the shape and was nervous in getting it done again. But then I found Elsa, did my research (pretty much just looked at her instagram photos lol) and I instantly knew she is the one. She is very accommodating and she listened to everything I requested for. I DM'd her on Instagram and I received a response almost immediately! When you enter her workshop, you will be asked to wash your hands and she will spray the bottom of your shoes as part of her COVID-19 precaution. The room is clean, welcoming and all the tools used were new and sealed. The procedure took about 2 hours as expected -- including the assessment and procedure. During the process, she made sure that I was ok and that I was not feeling any pain. I love the shape that she did for me -- something that I was very particular with. When you go back for your touch up, you will have a choice if you want your brows to be darker -- which I asked for because I had natural dark hair. She provided aftercare instructions and said I could message her anytime if I had any questions.I am so pleased with my experience and I am so happy with the service. Best $680 + tip spent!
