“It was such a struggle for us to find childcare, yes the neighborhood offered many small in home care facilities but none that we felt we could truly trust. BTB was the light at the end of a long tunnel they welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like family. Not only did they offer quality childcare services but my daughter was also able to pick up on some of the key elements of self defense. Honestly this place is a blessing to our neighborhood and a safe haven for children. BTB offers an array of martial arts disciplines taught by true masters of the practice if your looking to help your child boost their confidence, increase their self worth and put them on a path to success look no further! BTB helps create strong minds and bodies...PERIOD!??“

“Very nice gym. It’s clean, conveniently placed, and the people aren’t very invasive either. There’s also a considerable amount of space between machines so you’re not on top of people.“

“This is an awesome gym with an amazing atmosphere, once I walked in I was greeted by nearly every member of their team introducing themselves including the head coach Sensei John. Sensei John is a very kind person with a wealth of martial arts knowledge who has produced many great coaches and instructors as well as talented fighters. He will take his time to teach u every technique down to the last detail. His fight team is large and talented with tons of well skilled fighters all from different backgrounds who all have different styles so it’s always fresh. He brings in coaches from not only around the country but around the world and every Sunday brings in tons of fighters from different schools and hosts what he calls “spar wars” where you get to train with different guys with different style so it’s always fresh.Striking 101 is an amazing gym whether your goal is to fight or to just get a workout in you will learn how to defend yourself in a fun and challenging way.“

Emerson Souza Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Martial Arts Schools

“My two boys, now ages 10 and 5, have been attending Emerson Souza BJJ for a little over a year and they LOVE it! Emerson is a world champion and an amazing instructor.Emerson is patient, but commanding. He is fun, but thoroughly trains these kids to do and master complex moves. He is genuinely concerned about how these kids approach life in general. He instills patience, discipline, hard work and respect.Emerson brings these ideals and fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu into their everyday lives. From building relationships, working hard in school, respecting rules set by your parents and your teachers, helping out at home to diffusing potential conflicts. He has had a real impact on my boys, who look forward to seeing their coaches and friends, every time they go to class. And not only him, but all of his instructors have the same amazing qualities. It really is like a family.“

New Generation Karate - Martial Arts & Fitness Martial Arts Schools

“We were so incredibly fortunate to have a friend recommend New Generation Karate! Starting karate here has been a game changer for our 8 year old son! Kyoshi Herman is a passionate instructor who takes the time to know every student individually and inspires them with his genuine care and love of teaching. We tried other karate studios where there was a stark contrast in the quality of attending to each students strengths and weaknesses, both physically and emotionally. Couldn't be more grateful to have become a member of this family!“

“The best place to learn Brazilian Jiujitsu. With the welcoming atmosphere as a beginner, it led me to keep coming back. The professors, coaches an fellow practitioners all make it an awesome school to learn and improve at. Unlike typical BJJ schools who only care about your monthly payment, Gracie Barra makes you earn and prove every promotion you receive. This is a school which cares about its students and their respective skill. It’s a place for all ages, would recommend to everyone.“

“I used to go to this school in the late 90s/early 2000s (up until I got married and moved). Last week I was visiting “the old neighborhood” and was so happy to see the school is still there, and if it wasn’t because it wasn’t open yet, I would’ve gone in. Shihan Aschkar is up there as one of the greatest people I have ever known-an incredible mentor. If I still lived in the area, I would be there today, as would my children.“
