“I've been going to Dukes for about 6 years now. I see the same barber every time, unless he is on vacation.
All of the barbers there are top notch and friendly. They give great haircuts. They can also trim or shave your beard/mustache.
Each barber has their own set of regular clients, but they take walk-ins too. They are often busy so it might take a bit of a wait if you are a walk-in, but sometimes you get lucky. There were two walk-ins today and they were both seen within 5 minutes.
I usually text my barber when I want to make an appointment, and this works out perfectly for me. I don't think they make same day appointments, so plan ahead or walk-in and hope the wait is not too long.

Initially, I was perturbed by his lack of conversation during the haircut, until it clicked for me. I’m conditioned to make small talk with the person cutting my hair, and most of the time that small talk bothers me. Like, cut my hair, don’t ask me about the mushrooms my friend did at Phish last week.

I got a half hour of mostly silence while I was receiving a kickass haircut and I left the shop feeling all positive. Nolan, if you see this, thank you. Always professional and respectful, he makes himself very accessible to clients who work a 9 to 5 shift and for that I am much appreciative.“
