“It was my first time at the office located in Port Jefferson. The waiting room was pretty full, but the waiting time was minimal. I found them to be very efficient. I was especially pleased with my provider, Dr. Anzhelika Vaccaro. She took the time to fully explain the results of my examination and didn’t rush me out of the exam room , despite the fact that she probably had quite a few patients after me. The only negative was when I got home and looked over my prescription for reading glasses, it did not include the pupillary distance that is required to make the glasses. I called the office and they explained that most people go into a brick and mortar store to buy their glasses and the measurement is made there. In my case, I was ordering my eyeglasses online and that measurement is required. I don’t live near that area so just stopping in is not an option. I would suggest simply including the information on the prescription since the prescription they provided actually has an area already designated for those measurements.“

“My previous optometrist I had gone to for decades retired. I honestly didn’t think I would find another Dr. as experienced and thorough as my previous Dr. had been, but I was wrong. I couldn’t be more happier and grateful that I found Dr. Cardone… She is not only experienced, she is so thorough, VERY patient, and really went out of her way double checking my eyes when I was having an issue... She also took time out of her lunch just to fit me in, and the time she spent with me ended up taking a lot longer than expected. She was so nice about it and so patient spending all that extra time with me rechecking everything… I cant thank Dr. Cardone enough for being such a sweet caring doctor. I feel and know I am in the best care with her.“

“Came here for the 1st time when my insurance charged and I could not be happier. My son and I had very thorough exams and our new prescription are perfect, I didn't even know my prescription had changed but hello world your clear now.
Prices and selection are great but the best part is the employees, professional, helpful and very fun bunch of people. After explaining all our options and choosing frames the followup is great, order came quick and they called same day.

“21st Century Optical was great! I had a really bad experiences in the past getting glasses but this store really made it a great experience. I brought in my insurance card in and they checked my insurance said it was covered and explained how the reimbursement processes worked. Getting a appointment and seeing the optometrist was quick and easy. They then helped go through all the glasses and I got a new pair of glasses, sun glasses and a spare pair. It had be a little while since I had got glasses and it took me a while to adjust to the new prescription. When something felt off the did adjustments on the glasses to fix the problems. I wound up having a problem with one of the lenses it still seemed a little blurry they got me back in ASAP I got checked by the optometrist again and they changed out my lenses no charge. I am so happy with my new prescription, glasses and the service there. I 100% recommend this place to anyone.“

“Dr. Goodman is the best OD I’ve ever seen. I moved and tried more local doctors in areas where you would expect exceptional doctors. Unfortunately, I have been given poor evaluations and incorrect prescriptions and wasted thousands of dollars (I don’t have insurance). My entire life, I’ve had perfect vision and so when my vision began to become impaired, I just thought that’s how I was supposed to see and believed that doctors were correct with their evaluations and prescriptions. I always felt frustrated by my recent difficulties with vision, despite wearing contacts or glasses. I know it sounds silly, but my vision with correction is perfect again! Thank you Dr. Goodman! I can see! The office staff is equally amazing. More important to note, is that your children probably won’t notice the difference in prescriptions, which is why you need to see a doctor that evaluates your child’s vision correctly. Dr. Goodman is the doctor to see (figuratively and literally)!“
