I went in around 11 am to get a Covid test. My name was put on a waitlist and I was informed I would receive a text message in about 2-2.5 hours when it was my turn. I appreciated this system as opposed to waiting outside in the cold for hours, which is what happened last time I came here. I did in fact receive a text message 2.5 hours later then walked back to the urgent care, but was not seen for another hour and a half after this. Kinda defeats the convenience of getting a text when it’s your turn if you still have to wait that long, but their system is getting better. Loved the online scheduling app.. Wait time is short. The staff is knowlegably and helpful. The doctors and nurses are caring.It is close to transportation and the hours are great.
My experience this time at CityMD was unfortunately not very good. The PA initially prescribed me antibiotics, but about two hours later I called back because I have gastritis and the antibiotics were causing significant stomach pain and irritation. I asked if he could prescribe something to help protect my stomach or help with the pain and nausea, since over-the-counter medications were not helping enough.
Instead, I was told the chart was already closed and to just get something over the counter. When I tried to explain my situation, the provider raised his voice at me. As a patient, I believe I deserve to be heard and treated respectfully, not yelled at. Reopening...read full review
