“Elizabeth is so talented! The space is adorable, and receiving a treatment from her (or Alix!) is such a pleasure. I have always gotten my eyebrows done with trepidation...wherever I went, they always took too much, or they were wonky, etc. True Beauty nails it every time, it's practically painless, and I can relax when I go and chat it up instead of laying there worried about what I'm going to find in the mirror at the end. I have had my eyebrows dyed and a bikini wax there as well and it was great!“

“I called Michelle on a whim, after being impressed with their spread while trick or treating on Halloween! I asked if she would be willing to host my daughter’s 7th birthday party and even though she’d never had a party in her space before, she agreed and was so incredibly helpful! She brainstormed with me to come up with a plan for the party, fully embraced our Taylor Swift theme and went above and beyond. The space looked great, the kids were having a blast and their parents reported that they couldn’t stop taking about how much fun they’d had! Michelle and her colleague did hair, makeup, nails, tattoos and glitter gel for all of the kids, helped with decorations and were wonderful with the kids. It was a great party and I would fully recommend working with Michelle!“
“I came to Licorice Beauty because my original lash tech became unreliable. Once SELEMA touched my lashes, I knew she couldn't get rid of me :)! I love the environment of the shop. Super soothing, inviting, and relaxing. But what keeps me coming back (it's been almost a year now) is the fact that Selema is masterful at what she does and has been 1000% reliable, communicative, and she' s quick. She puts a lash on EACH lash, literally no lash left behind! But let me tell you something.. this woman recently did my lashes before I went on a 3 week trip to Africa and I kid you not, this is how they looked when I arrived back to NYC (bear in mind it was 4 weeks at the point of the picture) I had to text her and ask what the hell kind of magic she'd done because Africa is HOT and I did all things concerning water.. from salt water to chlorine, as well as lots of sweating!
