Nick or Mario are on site every day work is happening, and they run a tight ship - thorough, quick, and clean.This was our first renovation, so we weren't always able to articulate our requests in contractor-speak. Nick was especially adept at interpreting what we were asking for, and he was a problem solver who could figure out a way to make our "while we're at it..." requests happen without ever involving our architect. And he has a memory like a trap -- you think your "hey what if we..." questions are being humored, but he makes all of those things happen or gives you a valid reason why it couldn't.Whether it was huge mechanical projects like plumbing or electrical or intricate projects like tiling and molding, they approached it like the professionals and craftsmen they are. Mario took personal pride in his artistic tile layouts, even surprising us with a pattern in a notch in our shower. (We love it, and it tied the room together.)Being first-timers, we were frequently overwhelmed with the number of decisions we had to make, from dozens of wood flooring options to hundreds of tile options and dozens of appliances to plumbing fixtures. Nick was able to help us narrow our decisions, but when we just couldn't decide, he would make a final suggestion for us and we were always happy with his suggestion. Nick's network of trusted vendors was always spot-on, and they all know and trust Nick and vouch for his team.The end result was beyond our expectations. “Fixing up a condo for a new tenant. 2 bathtubs were worn with some enamel worn down to the metal and rust developing. They arrived EARLIER than scheduled (i.e., they were on time), ground down the tub where needed to fix and prevent future rust, and did the 2 tubs in about 3 hours. They cleaned their work area perfectly and also grouted around the base one of the bathrooms at no extra charge (they always grout the tub, but here they made the entire bathroom look brand new). Just a great job.“

“We bought our house knowing that we wanted to take down the wall between the kitchen and the dining room and reclaim space in the primary bathroom for a walk-in closet. Prior to closing we even had a contractor come through to confirm our plans were doable. After conducting our research we decided to go with Trade Mark for our renovation. From the very first meeting, Paul listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure we ended up with the house that we envisioned. As it turns out, despite the prior assurance we had received, our initial plans were not possible for either the kitchen or the bathroom. Rather than tell us we had to compromise, Paul found a way to give us exactly what we wanted (and more) and was very patient even when the bathroom (a very challenging space) took multiple iterations to get right!Once the work started, everyone involved, from Dan to the entire crew, were wonderful to work with and made sure all the details were exactly what we wanted. “We hired Gonzalo and his crew to build a massive, load-bearing retaining wall on our property- about 80 feet long, up to 8 feet high, and supporting our neighbor's driveway. The wall was in disrepair and failing- and we couldn't excavate underneath due to the neighbor, so we had to get creative.We had the plans drawn up by an engineer (independent of BG Construction) and showed them to Gonzalo- who was happy to take the project on.This was a complex plan- and a massive job. Gonzalo and the crew were professional, courteous, and extremely hardworking. They put in solid work every single day- even often volunteering to work on weekends.Even when the work turned out to be more than anticipated- we had to pour 2 trucks' worth of concrete to get our wall's footing up to par- they handled it. They even had to excavate the entire space for the footing by hand- as the original wall was in too bad of shape to risk using an excavator.Any time there was confusion with the plans from the engineer, the crew would correct course to make sure the work got done the right way. We had an issue while grouting the wall at the end the grout caused the CMU to bow out near the top of the wall- and they tore down and repaired the section the same day without any delay or headache.These guys are incredibly professional, capable, and very fair on pricing. If you're looking for any work, big or small, do yourself a favor and hire them.You won't regret it.Service: Masonry installation“
