She wanted her naturally wavy hair thinned out and wanted layers, and can still wear it traightened, or curly. She also enjoyed having her makeup applied, it was a great experience for her. “I am so so happy with my outcome and experience at Seven collective. I just moved to Halifax in the last couple of months and am always nervous about finding a new salon. The past few salons I've tried before coming to Nova Scotia, I ran into communication issues in regards to my desired outcome. Macy was absolutely stellar and was very thorough. She did an absolutely beautiful job, both with my highlights and style. I have a naturally very difficult hair texture and often end up leaving an appointment embarrassed of the poofy mess I have to walk out with. She was very mindful of my requests for little hair product and nothing that would add to my texture, making it very easy to style the way I like for day 2 hair. “I was in the neighbourhood and decided to get a trim. Just a simple one inch off the ends and a bangs cleanup without paying the high prices at most salons these days.
My hairdresser did exactly what I wanted and was very gentle handling my hair. I also liked that she didn't spray the water all over me which can be cold and a shock to the system, especially in the face.
I highly recommend her if you want someone who isn't rough while handling your hair.“

“My stylist was wonderful, she was friendly personable, and kind. There was another stylist though that hovered the entire time I was there and made her feel like she was doing something wrong, like a manager and come to find out she was not management. To the point that my stylist didn’t even give herself the option to give herself a tip when I went to pay.. I insisted on tipping.. but she refused. This other stylist was a negative hovering person over the entire experience. She marched around the salon like she owned the place. I felt bad for all the stylists when I left.“

“Kenzie is a miracle worker. After years of terrible haircuts I came in for a consultation and cut. She blew my mind. She immediately understood my hair type and how to fix the situation. Since that first haircut I have kept returning for future cuts and even had some fun with colours!

As a queer women, I immediately felt that this was a safe space. We always have such good conversations and Kenzie is just so relatable. I’m so grateful to them and am looking forward to my next appointment!
