“Great place for kids to train. Excellent staff. Friendly and knowledgeable. Flexible options.“
“Our child started at 3 years to the day. Mr. Ryan, Mr. Fernandez, and all of the other instructors have been incredibly welcoming and supportive. Seven months in, and the progress is not only noticeable, but incredibly enjoyable to witness and talk through with our kid.“

The karate classes always give a good sweat and I’m always learning new things. The grappling is top tier and they’re definitely one of the top teams in the area. Love being part of the Tiger kang family!“

1760 Barbara St, Philadelphia“I have been wanting to get back into martial arts after a decade hiatus. I tried several other schools in the area but they didn’t speak to me. The students at Philadelphia Jiu-Jitsu are top notch. They are welcoming to beginners, train hard, and prioritize safety as well. Damon is a fountain of knowledge and puts blood sweat and tears into training his students and running his classes. He’s approachable, humble, and rolls with all the students. I’ve gained so much in the short few months I’ve been training here and I would highly recommend the school to anyone who wants to get into high quality and affordable training.“
“I love Karate Kickers for my twins. I have a girl and a boy attending. They are learning so much and getting better everyday with the skills and more especially they are gaining confidence. I truly think every kid should have the opportunity to attend Karate Kickers school. Thank you Sensei for all you do.“

“Shotokan Karate Academy is a great place to take your children to learn martial arts. The sensei takes his time to teach his students. Nice, clean, and friendly environment.“

25 Pine St, Westville“Andy is patient and kind. Very passionate about his work and about helping people. He meets everyone wherever they are in their physical abilities or headspace, and can always find a way to make Tai chi and qigong accessible. He is knowledgeable far beyond cookie-cutter, scripted instruction, always able to explain not only how to move but why. You would be hard-pressed to find such an authentic teacher elsewhere.“

9AM - 9PM
1112 MacDade Blvd, Collingdale“Everyone is very nice and the owner is the best. He truly loves his job and loves working with children. He also has a lot of experience working with children. Being a teacher myself I know either you are have the gift or you don’t and children can tell when you don’t care. I foresee him needing to get a bigger building or adding Friday and or Saturday to the class schedule if the school keeps growing at the rate that it has. I’ve become friends with other parents and it’s a comfortable environment. (Reason I gave 4.5 stars is )We need a spectator booth or upper level like in swim classes so that the children don’t get distracted by the parents “new parents” that don’t know not to baby them and not get involved while the instructor is trying to redirect them. There can’t be to sheriffs. It makes it harder for the instructor to assert his authority so that the child can mature. If the child keeps running back to mommy’s lap he’ll never progress. If you’re that type of parent it’s probably better to drop them off after the first class (like school/daycare) so the children can adjust and mature because you’re not going to be able to hold their hand forever especially if you have a son. It would be a waste of money if he’s on your lap the whole class. My daughter tried to pull that baby stuff but I knew what to do. Thank you! Kadiyah’s Mom.“
3 - 8PM
1617 Snyder Ave, Philadelphia“It has been a great opportunity to introduce this to my child. This has been helping my child with focus and discipline. I love the way the staff cares about their students. And the effort they put into each and every children. Self defense is such an important skill to have esp when they're young and facing bullying at school. I would recommend this to any parents.“
“Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Very patient and thorough while they are teaching. My 5 year old son loves it!!! I was really nervous on who to choose but I am so thankful we chose Yi’s Karate.“
“My son has been attending classes here for several years now, and I can't praise the instructors enough. They are kind and will push you to be your best. Love them!!“
“My son started attending Karate at Martial Arts of South Jersey the first of this year and we absolutely love it! 4 1/2 months in and I have already seen a wonderful change and growth in him. He does a better job listening and following instructions as well as showing respect. I feel like he has learned about setting goals, working hard, and also improved his confidence. It has also sparked a new interest in him of getting stronger and making healthy choices which I love to see. Instructor Amy is wonderful and I would recommend this program to any parent!“
